Thanks a lot for the very thorough and well explained analysis. I empathise with you as I live in Italy and had to order it from the States paying more for shipping than for the product itself, but still much less than what festool is priced. As you very correctly pinpointed, this kit provides unique features in terms of versatility, efficiency, improvements in dust collection and health in the long run. Well invested money. Thanks a lot for the great video. All the best. Emanuele from Ancona, Italy.

Most of my tools are Makita, I bought the kit ages ago and was annoyed to discover the poor fit. I never knew about the other 2 adapters being available. Thanks for showing

@@LDBWoodworking your videos have a certain charm. The big one being your down to earth. Some of these big name woodworkers become so full of themselves it's off putting. Thanks again

Hi Sir, I bought the same host kit artikel 533478 which contains twe adapters 19mm and 38mm. The separated kit I saw in your presentation: I do not find exact the same kit. As well this adapters sold by two pieces. The adapter kit model number: 394723, artikel: 2MFG77, it are 19mm ID x 31,8mm UD and 31,8mm ID. Are this the adapters that separate is to order, same as is seen in your presentation? I’m confused because it seem the complete kit within two adapters has already 31,8mm? To be honest I do not understand ID or UD. Thanks for your time.

My ID port split at the end right down the middle as soon as I put it in my sander :( My sander is 1.5in and the ID port was 1.5in also and it split with the outward pressure from the sander port :/ My guess is that the product had been sitting for a long while now and the rubber dried up in the shelfs and it cracked on me. What do you think?

Great video very helpful. But it looks like a bit of a mission to switch between sizes. There must be a simpler salution out that one size can fit all. U just change machinery not adapters and machines. What do u think?
@LDBWoodworking5 жыл бұрын
Hi Stuart. Absolutely agree with you in principle. I have however searched the internet and KZbin and found nothing that will work across brands. If you stick to one tool brand, maybe it is possible. Why manufacturers cant not just decide on a standard for dust collection beats me 🤯. So far this is the best I came across but I continuously keep a lookout for better solutions.....or only buy festool 😂😂😂😂Thanks for watching. Cheers

@@LDBWoodworking I enjoy your videos keep them up. I think just buying all festool tools will save u from all the headaches of chop and changing. And they do make the best tools going around. But don't your work for Hilti tools. Dont u know someone that u can help u out if there is a salution of if possible they can think of a salution and make u one? Just a thought.

Does the end that fits into the shopvac fit any vacuum or only a specific one?
@LDBWoodworking5 жыл бұрын
Hi Johan. I am sorry. I forgot to mention that side 😁. It does fit my vac directly. I measured it and it measures 57.5mm outside diameter (2.25 inch). I believe this is a standard size. Hope this helps.

@@LDBWoodworking What shop vac do you have? My kitt just arrived and does not fit my vac (old household vac)

@@johanvandyk6532 Hi Johan. Sorry to hear that. I use a Hilti vacuum (model VC-40U). The connection is the same as a Festool vacuum.

@@johanvandyk6532 well first off I suggest buying a actual shop vac and a cyclone, and these are also meant for the cheap American shop vacs. The European ones have some WERID connectors, I saw one on FB marketplace with a rectangle lmao.
