The new BLRO “Pepsi” is a Rock Star of the highest Rolex order. IMO, it outshines the SS Daytona by a comfortable margins with wrist presence.

Can i ask if youve notice how loud the winding rotor is when you shake the watch....mine is very loud compared to all my other watches....apparently the new movement is noisey because of the ball bearings.cheers

I love the jubilee bracelet, light and much more comfortable. Question is, how did you mange to get hold of one? Been to my local AD here in the UK and they simply said the waiting list is that long that they've stopped adding to it. She still took down my details which seemed rather strange!

The red 24-hour hand is the easiest out of the three colours to discern. During my explorations, I am visually impressed with the orange 24-hour hand on the black dial of the Explorer II. What I like about your featured GMT is: going back to the original colours which are always the best. Video makers never tell us why Rolex chose blue and red for the bezel. I can supply the Rolex answer. Let this question garner answers.

Power reserve has always been academic to me because I am lucky to have five Rolex winder boxes. Their use ensures the oils keep the movement accurate; for example my 20120 Deepsea still keeps within a second a day.

The Tudor north flag has 72 hours power reserve I'm wondering if Rolex and Tudor are sharing tech

There are links with the movements, however the Tudors are not of the same grade and do not adhere to the same testing and accuracy parameters. In the real world, there won't be much difference of course.

Generally true...however, the tudor will perhaps be more a-magnetic...as silicon is more a-magnetic to parachrom hairsprings...

Thanks for sharing and congrats. I would have loved to know the lug width, compared the width of the new Jub with the older oyster. A view of the watch on your wrist. Has the new GMT a maxi case or they changed the shape slightly. It seems a bit more proportionate than the older one, more looking like the 5 digits rather than the 6 digits. Is the Jubilee with solid links or hollow like the old one. Maybe I am pushing too hard on details, sorry about that. It is a lovely watch. Congrats again.

I think it has to be less rigid due to the design compared to oyster, but I doubt it would ever go as bad as some of the really knackered ones we see Michael Young repairing. I think you’d love this bracelet, especially in a hot climate mate 👍👍👍

Agreed. Too thick, too large for my wrist. A GMT with the BB 58 would had been perfect. Manufacturer should offer two sizes of their wares. e.g. Omega Aqua-Terra line with 38 and 41 mm.

I don't know why but the jubilee bracelet looks and feels cheap in my opinion. Maybe because it's so light. Oyster and presidential all the way for me.

It is a premium quality watch like all Rolex modern oysters, but definitely not exceptional and certainly not an icon. It is a steel GMT that is in production today, really no big deal. This is no ultrarare 1943 Patek Philippe 1463 Tasti Tondi or a first production run Longines Hour Angle - these are icons in a very different league. However, its price is completely above the actual value for this type of watch. At this price, definitely not a good buy unless money does not matter. Also, I find the GMT design on Rolex, Omega and others pretty poor. A JLC Master Compressor Geographic has a second time zone dial which looks better and costs half the price preowned with a movement at least as good as Rolex. I own a modern Rolex but find them very overrated today when it comes to price vs actual value. Finally, the Jubilee is a good fit for the Datejust, but definitely not for toolwatches.
