His starting hand was, in order we see the cards: Effect Veiler Runick Destruction Tales of the White Forest Astellar of the White Forest Runick Destruction Skill Drian With the Tales of the White Forest he searches Rucia of the White Forest. With Rciela, Sinister Soul of the White Forest he searches Woes of the White Forest. He than uses Diabell, Queen of the White Forest to add back Skill Drain. We have perfect knowledge when he draws off of the Tri-Edge Master at this point. The card he drew off of Tri-Edge Master is 100% The Iris Swordsoul. Meaning that the summon of the Iris Swordsoul was indeed completely illegal as it was not in rotation when there was a monster on field with its effect negated.

So this was me on feature just wanted to share some of my thoughts 1. The iris swordsoul summon was an accidental cheat. I forgot the hugin that was negated previously was off the field. I wanted to draw into a runick card to make sp to get rid of his body but if I just made the diabel with asteria instead of hugin I wouldn’t have that problem 2. In hindsight dark ruler in the main would be really good I wouldn’t cut the skill drain for it but something like the iris, cbtg and 1 bgl. My main issue with drnm is that you couldn’t play through veiler or drill anyway so it didn’t matter if you blanket their board 3. Ash was for replacing the evenly post side going 1st and ca tenpai and going 2nd vs yubel because ash on lotus can be turn ending. That was the theory at least 4. The veiler reasoning was bad but it came up in testing that going 2nd vs se fiendsmith I cleared most of his board and had light chaos angel and trap. Searching the veiler for access code means they have no out to it Overall I piloted the deck decently well but it’s difficult when I the only die rolls I won that event were vs tenpai 😂

@@BimYGO i tried toy variants and the Horus engine as swell. My issue with the toy stuff is that it obviously is great when you see them but the deck is basically unplayable when you dont especially if on hand traps. On breakers it’s better but you still can’t play through princess/ hand traps. It also gets destroyed by droll while this version can play through it a little. Didn’t try centurion stuff because I think those are just win more bricks. Didn’t bother with fiendsmith because I didn’t want to buy them and if I did buy fiendsmith I’d play a different deck. My theory for this deck was basically skill drain turbo because of how insane the card is in this deck so I chose runick as a good supplement engine. Overall I didnt think this list was optimal by any means because of how new and unexplored it was and just relied on my playing ability and the people’s unfamiliarity with the deck to carry me in the event

@@qiwang6048 thanks for taking time to respond! ive found going 3 box, 3 soldier, even 1 rota, and then putting in some of the millennium cards is the best way to have consistently playable hands, but for the same reason you mentioned the deck struggles without prosperity, which is not realistic with the fs extra deck or centurion extra deck maybe ignoring the crimson dragon plays with millennium and sticking to a more normal extra deck with prosperity is a better way to go

To your dropplet comment, it’s really nice with toy box, toy box + dropplet is insane and, and its cracked with 2 breakers, like evenly/ talents dropplet or to send a card targeted by dis irae. It works going first and second and drawing it together with dark ruler is fine because most decks have layered interuptions

against crimson dragon, you will activate toy box and they will chain backrow to special summon, new chain (before you have a window to even use box eff) they will trigger stand up to summon crimson, and then crimson calamity - so you chain the droplet without getting the toys. or if they ended their turn on crimson, you also have to chain droplet without getting the toys or if you hard draw the toys you wont evne be able to set them cuz youll get calamity locked in sp if you draw droplet plus other breakers, you have almost no cards left to actually play the game with, and if your opponent is on a good deck they will still have hand traps so, im not disagreeing with you - what youre saying is true - but it doesnt actually make some of the worst matchups better when youre on breakers that often. drnm on the other hand trades very well with irae as theyll need to use two interactions in total for irae to respond, in which case drnm traded plus. most people dont even make irae, in which case drnm is free ofc the meta youre in will determine how good or not these things are. on omega ladder, crimson dragon and gimmick puppet are a plague. in your locals, less likely i hope

@@BimYGOeither way in those scenario you have droplet to stop it. Sure it isn’t perfect with toys and it has its place for where it is maximized in advantage but overall, even having set a toy and being able to get droplet to have more to follow up with is good

Through my own testing I've completely cut Astellar. 2 Hugin and a recycling Elzette is more than enough and I don't want to waste my normal summon getting negated. I'm also main decking three bystials and have been setting up the omega loop consistently. Instead of DRNM, its talents for going for first or second for more versatility. Black Goat seems intersting and definitely something to consider. Regardless how you want to build this deck I am excited to see how it performs after the next banlist. I think it is a good but fair strategy and has been fun to mess around with.

Do we know if the Iris Swordsoul discussed at 17:00 was the tri-edge draw or not?

Yeah, no it was the draw for sure, the other hand card was the Woes searched with Rciela and the add back from Diabellze, so the play remains illegal, though tri-edge isn't necessarily dead with zapper shrimp in the extra and Iris Swordsoul is basically live in hand. Edit: Though he doesn't seem to have a high impact 8 to make either. Guess you can send tri edge for zapper effect. Or remake Diabellze after bouncing her for another addback. Or as part of a 10 or 12 if you get another non-tuner on field.

I'd side rise to full hight for the tempai match up that plus skill drain will make the matchup and easy win

I know the extra deck space is really not there but ive been liking is dragoon with muddy mudragon and albion becuase you hard lose to evenly very often. Really would like to hear what you think of that package

the current meta decks dont play evenly, so this doesnt seem to matter much at a major event. you can always tailor your deck to your own locals, which should determine the non engine you play. those cards i think are quite gimmicky, and if they are on breakers to begin with, nothing is stopping you from calamity locking them well before tehy get to battle phase to use evenly. so i dont think its needed.

@@BimYGO i dont like the calamity verdions and on db where ive been testing evenly is much more used. Another change ive liked was 2 rucia because either if you start with it or it gets banished you lose a lot of extending

@@hannesherres3562 calamity is mandatory in any optimal build. i would not recommend making major changes to your deck to avoid losing to cards that calamity already ftks against, like evenly. if you dont want to play calamity because you think its boring, then you will have a much harder job making the deck work

I reckon you need to play mannequin cat if you are playing runick white forest. If they imperm astellar you can use it and hugin to make the cat, revive their veiler and use it to special summon silvy from the deck to keep playing

I think he drew the Iris off of Tri-edge so it would have mattered a good amount.

you can side it in when youre going second but you dont have much non engine space so you have to be okay with drawing runick/wf cards plus maybe one or two non engine power cards, like evenly/talents/etc
