Yesterday, I tested it out in wet environment up Tripler Ridge and down Moanalua Middle Ridge. They performed better than I thought. Usually that’s WildCross territory 😄

I am from IndonesiaI, i have question : Salomon sense ride 5 better than Salomon Pulsar?
@HungaroExplorer Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I never tried the Pulsar so I can’t tell you the exactly what’s the difference. What I see the Pulsar is more meant to be for smoother terrain while the Sense Ride 5 is more for mixed terrain. The other difference is in stack height and cushion. Pulsar is more cushioned with more stack height and the Sense Ride is less cushy, closer to the ground feeling.

Hi there… great review as always.. how do you compare sense ride 5 vs the la sportiva akasha? Which is better for you?
@HungaroExplorer Жыл бұрын
Thanks Ivan! Those 2 shoes are very different. The Sense Ride 5 has a smoother ride, more for every day running on all kind of terrain. The Akasha on the other hand is more suitable for all the technical, rocky terrain. Now I run more in the Snese Ride 5 and keep my Akashas for a more rocky/lava rock outings where I need a more protective shoe with some approaching shoe abilities. I hope that make sense.

@@HungaroExplorer thanks for the reply very much… I already have the akasha and I found them a little firm and heavy… and now im thinking to get the sense ride 5… I found them for about 90 us dolars.. is that ok price? What do you think? Tkans again for your help…

@@ivanarsovski6243 $90 is a very good price. The Akasha is a but heavy but considering all the protection it provides on technical, rocky terrain is not bad. The sense ride 5 is lighter and it has more of a running shoe feel for sure.

Nice review. I've got them myself for 2 months and ik really like them to. Compare with the sense ride 3 the shoe has more cushioning and a stiffer midsole for more feedback. Only the size is smaller compare with my previous one. I have to tide up my shoes very tide to provide my toes overlapping my sole. I hope wile wearing them a lot my shoe wil adapt my feeds.

Thanks for the feedback! Interesting to hear that the Sense ride 5 feels smaller than the other ones. I found it kind of the same size with a bit wider toebox.

So are these any good for road running as well
@HungaroExplorer5 ай бұрын
They are not really meant for road. You can use them on some road sections between trails, but I wouldn’t use it only for road.

I would like to use it for wet road conditions bc my normal street shoes are rly slippery if the road is wet. Do u think that is a shoe for that?
@HungaroExplorer4 ай бұрын
I use now for walking on the road and some wet surfaces the Salomon Ultra Flow. That one is more meant to be on the road and it is more comfortable.

I tried these shoes Istanbul SALOMON store today... and I didn't buy them since I didn't find them comfortable at all. There is a drop on the sole that puts my foot in uncomfortable position, where I would build up blisters after the first kilometer. I don't thunk this it's actual SALOMON's problem, I think is that ALL trainers sold in Turkey are of a horrible quality (remind see fake products from China). If anybody has similar experience with sport shoes bought in Turkey?

Thanks for the feedback! My brother lives in Romania now and he tells me that the Salomon shoes he buys in Europe are way worst quality than the ones he bought in the US. Probably same problems in Turkey…It shouldn’t be like that…In Europe La Sportiva, Nnormal, Dynafit I know is the same quality but not sure about all the other brands. If you want something cushier then the SenseRide 5, you can try the Ultra Flow. I am just about to drop a review about those in the next days.
