I passed every uniform inspection, I even got shiniest shoes of the year. I go to a Military Academy, so this really got me out of potential sticky situations on numerous occasions. Superb job, you never cease to amaze. My son is starting 6th form so I bought him his first pair of Northampton made Barkers. Oxford Wingtip Brogues (Cedar). They are gorgeous. Got them in London and the lady realising father son moment joined in with the experience and gave us a discount. £260.00 including shoe trees, shoehorn and two pairs of laces. Anyway thought you all might find this interesting. Great day out and I’m a bit envious of his shoes. I might have to go back.

Nice video ! And yes, I explore shoes from other countries these days, been buying from different brands from China with lower prices (not Acme), and shoemaking indeed has evolved higher. Some can have custom coloring or design too. Been looking at CNES Vietnam as well, good prices.

Edit: literally I cannot tell based on this brief presentation that the starting colors of these shoes was actually radically different. That's downright impressive.

Hi Preston - I have recently become introduced to your videos and enjoy them very much. Question for you - as a Canadian it can be tough getting a hold of a good pair of shoes like Allen Edmonds since the currency conversion and duties hit us so hard. I was wondering if you know of any shoemakers that would be easier to purchase for a Canadian around $300 CAD that could be easily returned as well. Hey Preston. I used acetone to remove the mirror shine on my shoes and unfortunately it removed the original dye. Now the shade is much lighter in some areas and I hope I didn’t damage the leather too much. Can you recommend which Saphir Pommadier color to apply to restore the original shade? They are vegano dark brown Artista 218 from TLB Mallorca. Maybe just the dark brown polish? Thanks!

when putting down layers of pate de luxe, must the previous layer dry in order to put down the next layer successfully? i just spent the past 4 hours trying to get my first mirror shine, and it seemed like i got better results when i went slower on each layer, which i thought might have given each layer more time to dry before adding another layer.

I don’t wait between layers but it that works for you, then do it. Everyone has a different method that they must learn through trial and error. You’ve made a personal breakthrough!

Your channel is extremely enjoyable but I must correct your pronunciation of bespoke. It's not bess-poke. It's be-spoke. As you know, the word comes from the practice of bespeaking, i.e. verbally specifying the details of your shoes or clothing.

Ummm….firstly, the language employed……seamless and bespoke is wrong and misleading….these are a factory made shoe; they are certainly not hand welted; they are factory machine welted by a human operator. Also, they are neither a seamless or bespoke in construction. The stitch density on the sole is too low also. They are playing fast and loose with language. Caveat emptor.

Let me clarify a few things you got wrong here: 1. The company Seamless Bespoke is so named because they are primarily a bespoke clothier. They are suit, trouser, and shirt specialists. The name is not in reference to shoes, I never said it was either. It’s just the name of the company as a whole: clothing and shoes from various brands included. Using the word bespoke for a company that makes bespoke clothing is wholly appropriate. 2. Yes, the shoes are hand welted. That is a fact. Remember, for a shoe to be considered a hand-welt, the welt must be stiched to the upper by hand, as these are. Afterward, the leather sole can be stitched to the welt by a machine and still retain a hand-welted designation. When a company stitches the sole to the welt by hand as well, I make sure to mention it as too, as with Yeossal and Yearn shoemaker. All 3 are still hand-welted though. 3. 8-9 stitches per inch is not too low. In fact, it’s as higher than most brands out there. Gaziano & Girling is also at around 9, per my review of their shoes. 4. I agree, all consumer’s are responsible for their own purchases, and I’ve always advised viewers to do as much research as possible before buying, which means watching as many reviews as you can from various sources. Hope that clarifies it.
