Given these are as good as my local sim hardware manufacturers (max 20 minutes up the road) I took a stab at the GT v3.0 pedal set when I wanted to go high-end for the first time in 2020 and they were a great bit of kit - but at the time those still relied on DiView for calibration, and I felt like in hindsight I wasn't the right kind of customer really (I'm just a sim racer in my spare time despite my hopes and dreams once upon a time lol) - so in the end sold them and switched to the HE Sprints which cost about A$1,400 at the time (vs $1,600 I think it was for the GT's) Great to hear they're still making quality products, but yeah I think as much as I'd love to support local, I'm probably not the right kind of customer still

Thanks for another great review, Will. The pedals look great, but the price seems hard to justify on both sides of it. VNM, VRS, & Simagic seem like they get you most of the way there for significantly less, but if you’re trying to buy once, the price almost gets you into ActivePedal territory.
@Scalma_912 ай бұрын
Great review as always! Personally, I don't see the point in getting load cell pedals for that price range when for pretty much the same amount of money you can get the Active Pedal Pro + Passive Throttle. Moza and Simagic will be releasing their own active pedals, so in less than a couple years load cells will be only used in entry level setups
@bobsimpson5886Ай бұрын
Great review Will… shame you never had opportunity to review the earlier versions like the 3.0 or 3.1 as a comparison. There’s definitely been some refinements introduced and it is good to see the introduction of a software package to help set up the pedals. Not so sure on the new price though…. Glad I got the v3.1 when I had the chance.

You lost me the moment you said that these cost more than HE ultimates. I have HE U + and I can say that they are grossly overpriced for our current market. If a pedal set doesn’t have top tier features (DD motor etc) I don’t think anyone should be spending more than $800 US.

My best bud drives V8 Supercars for Erebus , about 2 years ago and his sponsor organised equipment and a sim rig and loaded him up with simworx gear. I own 3 active pedals and absolutely love them, but the simworx pedals are easily the best set of pedals in the market outside the active pedals Simworx make the best gear, the shifter is brutally good! The button boxes are sick, the haptics shit all over sim magic Look they give us gear regardless of what I say about them but there gear is genuinely some of the best shit around! Anyone thinking of pedals or shifters they are the best on the market no bullshit ****BUY THE BILLET ALUMINIUM PEDALS PLATES , carbon isn’t the best **** Will think it’s just either you or your set but the adjustment was easily done by 1 person on the sets we are using with haptics Blasphemy to compare Anthony sim magic to these dude, love everything you do but I ain’t with that

Man my Heusinkveld Ultimates + are unbreakable, elastomers still going strong even with 100KG brakeforce on all soft rubbers. dampers etc all still perfect, changed with Simcore wide Pedal faces in orange color and now it’s perfect. Little bit sqeeking here and there but overall very good pedals
@xXxBo5sANaCxXx2 ай бұрын

Hey will, first thing is i love you and love your videos . At 20:56 you said bottom groove is the stiffest and top one is the softer one , from my experience with pedals and obviously logically thinking about the leverage point shouldnt it be the other way around? As in the lower the leverage point the easier it should theoretically be pressing the pedal? And obviously that would effect the throw as well
@boostedmediaАй бұрын
No, what I said is correct. The lower the leverage point, the less leverage you have so the stiffer the pedal feels. The manual states “For a firmer and shorter pedal press, lower the cylinder in the adjustment slot, for a longer and softer pedal press, raise the cylinder in the adjustment slot. :)
@loolaka1999Ай бұрын
@ just to make sure, i had just tested this on my HE ultimate clutch and throttle (as the brake pedal does not allow to change the angle of the shaft) and just like I mentioned , the lower the shaft was positioned the significantly easier it was pressing the pedal and longer the throw was , which again makes sense as you have more leverage. Just like with a shifter for example , the longer the rod and the lower the leverage point is relative to the length of the rod the easier it will be to engage and the longer the throw will be .

I’m another small creator but I am working currently on an in depth review of simnet pro pedals. They’re pretty budget for what your receiving considering even after you put their haptics on all three pedals and add in their pedal plate it’s cheaper than a set of Simagic p1000in the base three pedal configuration. Hopefully you take a view and leave some feedback! Also have a budget vs high end comparison in the works as well!

@ the active part simulates real pedals. Vnm is the best bang for buck pedal set in my opinion. Heusinkveld has great pedals with best customer service. Although Vnm are half the price and better feel. It’s all subjective. If you don’t mind blowing some money the simucube active pedals are the best for ease of adjustment.
