Hello Grant. I just got my copy of Tarawa 1943 yesterday. Your reviews and play throughs are a lifesaver! You always explain everything so well. Thank you for many years of great videos! God bless and be safe.

Would the banzai attack drawn 8:20 not result in a fire attack from 3 red beach to wave 1 ? Highest priority is the lowest number. Lowest priority is the highest number ?

When it comes to producing top quality pieces and maps, Worthington Games is in a class by themselves.

Thanks for this review and your playthrough, Grant. Very helpful and enjoyable. I've gotten this to the table several times in succession in the last couple of weeks, and enjoyed it thoroughly. I am getting whupped, but a little less over time, and can see some strategies emerging. Thanks again for all of your and Alexander's good work. Hope to see you at Buckeye Game Fest.

Looked at this one several times. I love a good brutal solo game sounds like this checks that box and then some! Need a pacific game in the collection for sure!

Another great video, Grant. Thank you! The Marines have a steep learning curve but once the USA understands how to use their units effectively, the game is fun. The Japanese usually beat me.

Good video Grant , I enjoyed it. I'm almost strictly a solo gamer but for some reason I tend more toward playing multiplayer games, playing both sides, than I do for the games designed as a solo game. Weird, I don't know why. This looks like a well designed game though.

It was President Roosevelt that made the decision to release the film and (News Reels of), "With the Marines at Tarawa" against the recommendation of his advises. His thought was that the American people needed to know that the War was going to be a tough fight with many losses of American life. It was the first time that American war dead were shown in movie theaters across the US.

Great overview/review, sir. (BTW, looks like snipers hit cohesion, not actual units.)

Are you sure the blocks are bataillon? Seems by the OOB it's more company in fact. Three companies per bataillon. Three bataillon per Regiment (2nd and 8th...the 6th being kept in reserve). Historicaly the 6th did arrive at Green Beach. Peleliu was, at it seems now, a useless bloody invasion. That island didn't play a great role in the following invasions. Seems simple to play but hard to win. But I think I'm going to stick to the awesome D-Day Tarawa

Wel explained Grant. I'm going to hunt this game down.

$70 and I get to apply stickers? Yay!😡 No thanks! It seems they could have easily made this into a two-player game as well. But a solo game only? I'll pass.

And if this was a two player game I would not consider buying it

Not a fan of how the rule book is arranged.

No wonder you hate sniper cards, you're removing units instead of reducing cohesion. I want the game but the shipping price from the US to Canada is atrocious and ends up being more than the actual game. I'll get it eventually, but I'll have to wait until I can get it at a much more reasonable price.

Is this another one of Worthington's overpriced games that are good for about 3 plays?
