Looks like 10 people drive ecx revenges. Anyway...I run the 3.1, and i went from a B main driver to an A Main winner at our club race with a box stock setup. Super plush, responsive car. Easy to drive on our outdoor hardpacked/loamy track with near bald tires. Your review of the rc8b3e convinced me to pull the trigger on the 3.1. Thanks for all your videos!

Jason, I recommend you try out the arrma typhon, if you get a jconcepts silencer body and put new wheels/tires on the car, it will perform very similar to the mugen or associated
@ShortCourseWorld7 жыл бұрын
have you owned the mugen or ae car yet?
@nikolaiiaksenov7 жыл бұрын
ShortCourseWorld No, but I have driven them at the track and taken a close look at them, obviously the mugen and associated feel nicer, but for a budget build it's a great !

Great review. I loved how you addressed the Mugen issue. I say let the factories police their designs. As customers we should go with what works for us. What a pro wins with doesn't always work out the best for Joe Racer anyway.

Hey!!! How come I also got the RC8.2E but its not the same body and chasis? I see this version more than mine. I have the sleek body, and more aluminum parts and less plastic. Is this model the newer version RC8.2e? I like my layout better for many reasons but I dont have the prefabricated adjustable shocks, i got stuck using spacers lol. I also have the 2000KV motor and this model ha a 2100KV motor. You got solder points and I have plugged wire connections. Whats the pros and cons between the two?
@עידןאסרף-נ2ו9 жыл бұрын
You should upgrade from rc8.2FT to Rc8b3E? tnx.

Durability: May have just been a freak accident, but on a relatively soft landing, coming into a corner, I snapped a rear hinge pin. Broke it clean off at the insert. I'm a finesse driver, so I usually don't put the car in harmful situations. It was likely just a faulty part, but it was very surprising.

They should do a factory team version with alu pillow balls, kashima, machined pistons, and maybe carbon stiffener option on the chassis braces, aluminum shock pins and nice standoffs, maybe some caps instead of nuts. Just a thought

i know you get a lot of comments and questions about "which is better", but I have a mp9e, and I enjoy it but for sure I would love to have the feature where you can remove six screws and bam, you have diff access. if you had a choice between the b3e or mp9e, which would you choose?
@ShortCourseWorld8 жыл бұрын
Tough call buddy. Both are good cars. I love the Kyosho quality but the AE car is probably a bit more durable and economical. I love the easy diff access too.
@jamindeadams8 жыл бұрын
plus, parts for the associated are probably a little less expensive. although, I am a firm believer In you get what you pay for. but in the long run $$$$ lol. thanks!

Hey Jason.. I see a cleaning video, but is there one that addresses routine maintenance? I don't know what, if anything, needs to be done as far as dif grease, bearings, shock oil, etc. I own a Losi 1/8 scale buggy, the "manual" does not say anything about any recommended maintenance schedule. I am fresh meat for the hobby, I need an education. Maybe the answer is as simple as "drive it like you stole it until something breaks"

+MrEli204 ebuggies are so close in the price range, it definitely makes for some good research. For $550 you can get a Serpent Cobra with a ton aluminum, carbon fiber and spring steel parts. Of course the Mugen..its so hard these days. 10th scale is getting there too. Prices are crazy competitive

If you ever need another 1/8th servo, try out the 1283sg by savox, it has a crazy 400 something ounces of torque and a respectable .13 at just 6 volts! not even 7.4, it has a full aluminum case and it's like 95 bucks.

Hi, I want to buy one of this buggy : mbx7r eco or TA RC8B3e ( in my country Team Associated kit has less price than mugen and parts are cheaper). I dont have a professional track but we try to build one next year. Till then i will ride at my backyard track try to learn new car. I think RC8B3e will be ok for my first racer. What do you think, maybe mugen with his better quality? ( sorry for my english)

hello ! I am a 15 year old, with some RC expereance, so much that I can fix a Nitro truck and feel confident in building a buggy. At this moment of time I am plning on building a 1/8 scale race buggy, but with a slight problem. My buget is 450$ max ... :(. I know I wont get any top of the line things. Can you tell me if the things I have chosen will work for me? HoBao(I live in europe) - VsE roller Turnigy track star 150A 4s sensored ESC and track star 2350 kv sensored motor (standart 1/8 42mm diameter can) Turnigy track star TS-601MG digital servo 1/8 13.2 KD 0,12 sec one and a basic HobbyKing 4.2 GHz remote set just to start with Later on adding ProLine tires and aluminium parts, if I will be able to find any. If anyone can sugest a Buggy (1/8 scale, electric) than I will welcom all sugestions with a roller/kit below 220 $ Thank you for everything, grate vids and cool cars, have a good one!

2wd classes are what ae dominates. Did I get mad when others copied them? A little, but very annoyed. All the hours of hard work, thought and creativity, expenses, then some loser brand(s) who hasn't done any work makes the same car with the slightest differences and calls it their own. That's just low. Of all brands to copy it has to be the one doing their own thing, one that's not desperate to make cars in every class that they resort to taking someone's hard work. But hey fuck it this is the best car out there, let's make it and call it our own design. Why are people getting mad at China for doing it? Who came up with the stupid idea of creativity and patents in the first place? Morals and principles don't mean shit.
