I've had my Yamaha EF3000 iseb now for about ten years. We opted for the "iseb" (boost) version that pulls extra amps from the battery for heavy starts like the AC on the RV. It's never failed to start, runs very quiet, and sips fuel on economy mode. I recently added a propane kit to the unit, as it now sits in a remote location where I don't want to store gasoline for long periods.

My EF3000ISEB is 15 years old & runs like day one. After break-in, I've always used full synthetic oil & Seafoam in every tank of gas. I maintain it very well & pulled me through many power outtages in Michigan. Use it on my rv & is so quiet it's unbelievable. Love it.

Is the remote start a Yamaha option or aftermarket? I thought Yamaha offered it for this generator, but no longer on their website. Only mentions optional remote start for the bigger 4500 watt model now.

At the time of this review it was a Yamaha option. I do not know if it still is.

I'm looking at a new Gen 4 mine with a remote start how do you like that remote start and what is the approximate range I will be about 100 feet away from my cabin

Yeah I was all of 100 feet plus the gen was in a tin shed.

Good generator. Will you be using the VK Prossional again this season or will you be using a VK540. I hope so so you can figure out cold weather starting issues for me.

20,971 hrs on my Honda and it finally went capoot. Thinking about this unit. Yall think this unit can handle 14 hrs a day every day for 4 years . That's about what I got out my Honda

That’s what tons of research is telling me too, especially with your 1 & 2. The Predator seems to be the best “cheap” option out there, with WEN possibly tied with it. As for another top model Champion seems to have big fans, however I’ve heard too many headaches with any customer service needs when they arise.
