Thx for the review! Just got these headphones and I am truly delighted! I was searching for the as-close-as-possible-to-neutral-sounding headphones for the last two months, checking reviews, comments specs etc. Initially I listened to the Sony WH-1000XM3 and those sounded quite good, but the pronounced bass was not to my liking. Other alternatives were Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 and Beyerdynamic Lagoon ANC and while the Bose had both USB C and BT 5.0 (the ATH has BT 5.0 and only micro USB) and the BD Lagoon ANC looked nice, these Audio Technicas came to the forefront as the best choice for me. Yes, the app is feature-poor and USB C would be nice, but that is no deal-breaker for me. What is the most important thing, is not even ANC (which I can easily live without, as the cans isolate pretty well by themselves, have to check edge cases, e.g. wind etc.), but the SOUND! Marvelous, especially compared to my cheap bluetooth cans from before and other headphones I could check out. Many many other cans bring bass forward too much, which I understand, as it is "trendy" I guess. Not for me :) I like my sound as neutral as possible and the ANC900BT fill that spot exactly! Sure, I can only compare in the given price range, as more expensive options are surely out there and they would sound even better - but this is what I was searching for and I am as happy as I can be!

A friend recently told me he planned to buy either the Sony M3 or the Bose 35II, but I advised him to wait a short while until these ANC900BT's reached the market, so what I was really hoping for from your review was a clear winner among those 3. I'm glad these cans didn't let you down, but I don't think I heard a real head-to-head-to-head judgement. (And here's my problem with headphones in a Michigan winter: which goes on first? your headphones or your tuque? LOL)

Hello, I have a question about ANC900BT. I bought this particular headphones not too long ago. The problem is, I find this headphones sound imbalanced (the left can being slightly louder than the right can). So I replaced the unit with a new one but even the replacement unit has the same problem which is quite frustrating... If you don't mind, would you let me know whether it affects your ANC900BT as well? Or it's just me having a chain of bad luck :( PS : I've tried flipping the stereo channels, testing using mono audio, and wearing the headphones on the opposite direction, etc... All have the same results (L is slightly louder than R)

Is ATH-ANC700BT still a good alternative? I told myself never to spend more than $200 on a pair of headphones after realizing just how fragile they are, I hope the earpads for 700BT is replaceable because if not then the shelf-life of the headphones get even shorter, and Sony is not an option, they are over-priced hot pile of garbage.
