Talking about high end audio gear yet having piss pour audio on the channel is really off putting, well the quality is there but literally had to stop the video to comment that I can't listen further. If you gonna do it at least do something with the acoustic. I don't care if it's eggs boxes or whatever, but do something about the room you are filming in.

Nice review. Thanks for uploading it. One question re the microphones, do they have any type of wind noise reduction?
@audio46
@audio46 23 сағат бұрын
Yes, these include the Qualcomm aptX Voice Audio Technology codec. It adds some de-essing and compression to the audio which will reduce unwanted noise when making calls.

Hi great informative video, I have 6xx with custom cans bass mod , it just get a bit more bass at bottom end, I wonder how the bass on the 620 against 660s2 . It’s also interesting how the 620 against the 490 pro . It’s good that the 620 has metal on the head band , I total agree with the cable is not 600 series and also the 620 had same build has 500 series , so because of the cable and 500 series headphone design I don’t think warrants the price of £300 in the Uk, at the moment 650 is currently £229, the 660s2 is £359, for my money at the moment don’t go for these at this price point get far better build in the hd650 or even 6xx from drop even to shipping to uk working out about £170 shipped. If you want a bit more lower end bass for your 6xx 650 fit the custom cans bass mod about £30 . Regards mark

Very happy with these headphones. The midrange is what makes these headphones very special. They do demand quality electronics (DAC/Amp setup) to get the best performance from them. Pair them with a Chord TT2, and you will be rewarded with reference quality playback. The treble is a bit recessed compared to other TOTL cans, BUT, it is very clear and natural sounding.

6 hours on a single charge is nothing to write home about. Standard should be 10 hours or more on normal playing before it has to be put back into the charging case for recharging. Although 6 hours is not bad, the worst in terms of battery life has to be the Bose SoundSport wireless. One bud went bad after very light use in a few years, and only good for couple of hours after a full charge. And the charging case even with a full charge, only eeked out maybe two complete charges before it has to be plugged in via Micro USB. So, the battle continues. Who's going to win the crown of longest play time before put back into the case for charge. I rather see Grado takes the crown, but not sure how much resources they have to put into R&D on the wireless side. I think going forward, wireless is the future, since data is data, whether it's delivered wired or wirelessly. Ultimately, it's the DSP on the receiving side that needs to reproduce the sounds using the onboard DAC to the drivers. Grado, you need some serious decisions to make. Make some high end RS like wireless headsets and cut the cord.

Hey! Great video! 1. Nice T-shirts. Emperor fan here 🤘🏻🤘🏻 2. Comparing this new 620s vs other close back sennheiser headphones or other brands like Audio-technica, which one do you recommend for metal music? Thanks!

I personally like bass heavy headphones for a lot of modern metal music. Older metal sounds great on these, but the mixes typically aren't as bright. To balance out more treble, I really like the ATH-M50x or the Fostex TH-616 if you're looking at any open-backs.

How is it compares to Super Moon? 12mm planar is smaller than 14mm on Supermoon!
@audio46
@audio46 Ай бұрын
I'd say the Supermoon is in between the Moon Rover and Bonneville in it's bassiness. There's less mids in the Supermoon than the Moon Rover but more bass.

How do they sound with some Emperor? Too sibilant or forgiving?
@audio46
@audio46 Ай бұрын
Emperor is pretty well mixed to my ears so I didn't hear too much sibilance. If I did get any it was on bright flashy mixes like "100 Demons" self-titled. Overall, it's still comfortable on many tracks but a lot of feedback in genres like noise music or grindcore will still be sibilant.

I have regular 80 Ohm and this Pro X. Pro X sounds definitely cleaner, especially when you equalize it for a more balanced sound, and doesn't have the ugly 2,5-3 Khz peak and 3,8-4 Khz dip, that the regular have.

the only thing is that..... If you really wanna wanted to make change or feel the difference at ground level then you have to be use a different variety of "DAC" and Audio files format or codec......... Now these days everyone using digital sound format those are basically based on dot matrix 0 & 1 but sounds are not matrix, sound is a wave..... try to use Analog sound format (like old days school vinyl records, VCD, or cassette player) Just pick up the one and only the most favorite audio files of yours........ experience this with different varieties of DAC, DAC & AMP, multiple types of driver like..... speakers, headsets, headphones, IEMs with different types of technology like...... singal or multi channel driver,....... like dynamic driver, balanced armature driver, Electrostatic drive, planar magnetic driver, piezoelectric driver, bone conductor driver...........................................................

WTF? This a joke/troll? You recorded this at the bottom of a barrel or in an echo chamber? For a listenable review of the Dali, try Opaz's. If you think this is funny, it's not. For someone selling sound equipment it's absurd. Are you in the high-end audio market or middle school?

Thanks for the review. My 2 cents worth of advice is to please use a Lapel microphone. The sound in the video had an echo and sounded like you were on the other side of the room. Also why do you call listening to music a project? But good review otherwise.

I thought I would skip burn in but now that I know more about it, I am going to burn my new headphones in for 14 years and 3 months. On second thought, I'm half deaf to high sounds which is why I wear hearing aids which have their own software. I haven't yet found any articles or videos on wearing headphones with hearing aids but let me tell you, when you have an app that can adjust sound quality and equalizer for your ear before you touch any controls on your headphone app, you end up with amazing versatility and great sound.

This is a very informative video. The backround music is distraction though and I found it annoying. I didn't see any need for slightly muffled music in the backround that would be more suitable for a 1970s elevator. Other than that, I got what I needed which was information about what Burn in is. Thank you. Also, you make an erroneous assumption more than once. You think that if you effect the earphones with burn in in such a short time it would be "evidence of a defect" and also "they would keep degrading quickly over time." Neither of these assertions is necessarily correct. Certain materials break in but don't continue to degrade at a fast pace. An example would be breaking in a new engine in your car. If it kept "breaking in" continuously, your engine would not last 100,000 miles. Breaking in a pair of new jeans does not mean you will be almost bare ass naked in 3 months of wearing them.

Love your video ! I am looking for a warm sounding in ear monitor at this 200 dollar price range but don’t know if it will flip the bill ! I own the meze 99 classics headphones and the overall soundstage! I purchased the moondrop Kato iems but didn’t care for their soundstage! I have purchased the Ikko oh10 iems but returned them once the cord broke! Tried to purchase the Ikko oh10’s iems but they got lost in transit and they no longer are selling on Amazon! Know of any good iems at the 200-300 dollar price range to flip that bill?
