Not from sad stories, But because of the love and respect given from those with the Affliction and those acknowledging the issue at hand. The radio broadcast is worth a listen as Kaylie sp.ch. a girl of 9yrs. Broadcasts part of the game and as they wrapped up Kaylie being asked how she recognized Jake Neighbours so well, did she have a crush. " No, but my mom does." That was just a small part as we had national anthem singer and a captain from the high-school hockey team w hodgkins lymphoma intro. to drop puck. He obviously unable to play any longer. The Blues/Sharks game was one of the most physical games I've been to in a while. There were a lot of big hits in that one. There was a pretty good scrap between Walker and Dellandrea after the Sharks first goal. The Blues just gave up too many odd man rushes in this game and that's what cost them.

Tough break for Wedgewood tonight as 2 of the 3 goals against were off his own teammates. Goal 1 was a pass from the faceoff circle into the crease and off the defender’s skate up into the corner of the net going back against the pass direction. Nothing he could do there. Second goal was a deflection off a leg in close from a blue line slapper. Again, no time to react there either. 3rd goal was a masterclass in passing early in Utah’s PP and an easy one timer into a wide open cage. Utah played a great game tonight no question, applying pressure on the Avs throughout, though the Avs returned the favor in stretches. This is one game where the final score isn’t indicative of a goaltender’s performance, or that of his club in front of him. Kudos to Utah for bringing 100% effort tonight, Avs just have to shake this one off. Side note: one of my concerns with Smith coming over from SJ in that trade was looking at his career PIM. He had struggled for YEARS with a penalty to point ratio and so far in the 2 games he’s played with the Avs he’s taken unnecessary minors in both. It didn’t hurt the team against the Pens but it absolutely did tonight. Can’t have him playing in the majors if he’s going to sit in the box every game.
@davecomstock954411 сағат бұрын
A slight correction re: Kovalenko: it was his second game as a Shark, but in the Carolina game he played less than 10 minutes after the previous day’s trade. In the St. Louis game, he forechecked and stole a clearance from Binnington to set up the Sharks’ first goal, and finished with a great pass to Walman for the game winner. So far he’s fitting in really well as a grinder with good hands and vision on the top line with Celebrini and Toffoli.

Kings got exposed for their lack of goal scoring and why do you start Rittich over Kuemper, when Kuemper is healthy again and played well in his last start? Despite the Kings troubles to create scoring chances, Rittich gave up some leaky goals. You play your #1 goalie against the best teams like the Devils. Caps, despite having not played a game for 4 days and only given 1 PP in the game to CBJ's 5, still won in OT with great goaltending from Lindgren and 2 clutch goals from Protas! That is now 10 wins in a row on the road and 7-0-1 in their last 8! Wild got embarrassed badly 7-1 in their own building! Panthers were shutout 4-0 by Lankinen/Canucks, who some might consider to be a backup goalie(maybe he's taking a big step?). I would say for the power rankings, 1, 2 and 3 spots need a new order! #9 has to drop because they can't play as well on the road as they do at home!
