Couldn't agree more with you review on the gear change support arm. Great bit of kit. Had a blast last week on mine and not one false neutral, its way more responsive and looks great. Good save on the near drop, I speak for us all when I say we've all been there. Great content as usual. 👍👍👍

Yep your right. I was actually on the rear brake. Unfortunately at The angle of the front wheel I just hit the gravel. Luckily the kerb stopped the front from sliding further.

Lol. It wasn’t so much being short but hitting the gravel right at the stop. The camera doesn’t show the angle of lean that well

Hi Robbie great save 👍 bought myself a 1290r 2 months ago luv the bike did you ever have any issues I:e mtc failure warning happened 3 times now once before 1st service twice after bikes only done 970 miles been reading your posts and others your one of the only ones who have not had issues any clues what’s happening, Cheers mate look forward to your reply

Hi and welcome to the beast club 😁. Yep plenty of people have complained about the MTC issue but as of yet I’ve never had it. What I do know about the 1290 is it’s temperamental when the battery gets low, as in it will throw up all sorts of error codes that don’t really exist. My bikes when parked at home are always on trickle chargers plus I’ve fitted a lithium battery to the 1290. Also stones caught in the spring where the exhaust flap will cause MTC issues as well. I hope this is of some help.

Yes. It’s where the 2 cables follow down the frame.

@@enchantedape8180 the two that follow down by the rear brake reservoir are cables. Similar to a bicycle brake cables. They open and close the butterfly valve that sits just inside the exhaust. It’s easily seen if you take the end can off.

Did you say that your motorcycle needed an MOT? Is that some sort of a vehicle inspection? I’m in California and I have a ‘22 SDR.

Hi. Yes. Here in the UK a new vehicle from 3 years old has to have an inspection. Mainly safety stuff like lights, brakes, bodywork etc is checked. Where in Cali’ are you. I’ve visited many times.

@@Robbiemoto Glad you like the state. The best thing about California as you probably know is the weather. I meant to ask you: what is your assessment of the SDR? Still glad you got it? Any problems? I bought mine new in 11/22 and have very few miles on it due to (non motorcycle) injuries and surgeries and convalescence. I have 3 bikes and an ATV at the moment.

@@ibnewton8951 I love Cali’ and yes the weather is a big draw. A friend of mine lives in Colton hence why I’ve been over many times. I don’t regret getting the SDR at all and very pleased with it. Apart from the time the switch gear stopped working after being in torrential rain but that was sorted under warranty. I only have one other bike and that’s a 2023 KTM 690 smc r. I have a little experience with ATV’s when i was in Glamis.
