Reviewing the 1/18 Volvo 164 (1970) by Triple9

NICE COLOR COMBI, GREEN AND BEIGE. I ALMOST BOUGHT A REAL LIFE MAROON 164 WITH WHITE LEATHER IN 1979, BUT THE CAR HAD TROUBLE STARTING WHEN I TEST DROVE IT AND I DID NOT BUY IT. BOUGHT A PASSAT WAGON (DASHER WAGON I THE US), A 1975 MODEL WITH ONLY 65K MILES, BUT IT HAD A TON OF REPAIRS IN 3 YEARS.SHOULDA BOUGHT THE VOLVO.. YOUR MODEL IS CHEAP AT 50 EURO, BUT IT IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A 1:18 TO HAVE NO OPENING FEATURES AT ALL!

A very nice model. But why do the steering wheel point downwards? Also, wiper blades in black metal are too modern for this model - the wipers became all black for model year 1975. The seat belt release levers were red when the car was new, not worn red. I guess this is an exact copy of an existing car.

IS THIS EVEN A TRUE DIE CAST IRON MODEL? OR IS IT SOME DAMNED RESIN LIGHTWEIGHT THING?

this is heavy diecast, just like kk scale. I think only GT spirit makes 1/18 resin in the sub 100 dollar range.
