Quick update!! The company reached out to me through Amazon since they saw my video and apologized for the issues the camera was having. They stated that they're working on their product to make it better, which is so good to hear! They also stated that the camera definitely should have came with a lens cap for the main lens and offered to send one to me. They were extremely professional and appreciated my feedback which is more than I can ask for.

I was looking for a camera that has some options to play around with rather than the Kodak point and shoot that I have, and your explanations helped me to make up my mind to go ahead and get one. yes, the built in mic is the only mic picking up sound, the plug in mic is useless, I even tried a different mic, powered with AA batteries, still the same shitty sound

This was a very good review, apart from just couple things, when you filming with your back to the window, the reason for such a dark picture was because the auto exposure on the iris kicked in, this is Normal and not a fault, if you had switched on the back-light compensation control that would have fixed it, yes the sound was same on both ex and internal mic, a little muddy but can easily be fixed in post editing, as for picture very good, natural looking like real life no over top sharpness like most phone cameras, even in low light picture was not grainy at all, colour ballance was good and natural 😀, real life is not pin sharp, 4k is unatraral, the picture did not give any video artifacts at all, and was steady,, I think for price this camera is very good, and will be buying one, your video was very truthful and I thank you 😊

Great video and information on the camera. Thanks very much! I do some photography on a limited budget and am looking for an inexpensive camera with higher quality (current camera is a Sony 10MP). Also agree the camera should come with a lens cover. To me, the audio sounded muffled and was missing the higher frequencies. I am not convinced that when the external mic was plugged in that it switched over (the audio was exactly the same and with different type mics, there should have been some noticeable difference between the two mics). Can I ask how many MP (megapixels) was the iphone camera that you used for your review? A comment given indicated for you to try switching on the back-light compensation control (if the camera has that setting) and was wondering if you tried it and if the quality was better? I believe I came across something saying the wifi is so that you could use the camera as a video camera for your computer. Also wanted to ask if you use any additional lighting or was it just light from a very close window?

I haven’t gotten another one yet unfortunately! My husband went to school for audio and video, he suggested any canon camera even if it’s older. You can always find older ones on eBay. :) I’ve just been using my phone though! The quality is significantly better. My other video I have posted is using my iPhone 12 mini. :)

The one I got didn’t have an option for a different color, just black. The link for the exact one is in my description. :) The only setting that I really changed directly on the camera was the quality setting. I set that option to high inside of medium. All the other adjustments were done in editing. Which was pretty much just editing the sound quality. 😊

Great camera review. Since the extra lens has two covers, you should try using the smaller cover to see if it fits the lens that is attached to the camera. Am sure it will fit.

Great review. Your "old iphone" has superior video & audio quality compared to this digital camera. So I'll stick with my iphone 12 mini for videos on-the-go, and my imac photo booth for when I'm sat in front of a camera. I just need to invest in a couple of microphones.

Yes of course! So in my video go to the time stamp at 3:15. In this part I’m showing what the camera looks like as a 360 degree view. If you look at the top of it there’s a little dial that has multiple little icons you can switch it to. To access pictures that were taken previously you’d want to switch it to the icon that has a square with the triangle in it. Hope that helps. :)

The Wi-Fi is to download the app and if you actually click that option to can scan the QR code that the camera gives you and you can get the photos and videos from your Camera to your phone, hope that helps. The app is so much to easier to use

Honestly just use your phone if you’re budget constrained. You have to spend a decent bit to get a mirrorless camera with decent 4K quality. For example, my Lumix G95s and G100 result in pretty noisy 4K video indoors unless I swap wider aperture lenses to them. (Granted, they’re still arguably better quality than a smartphone.)

i’m not sure you will reply to this because this comment is 5 months old, but if by any chance you cross it, how is the picture quality? i don’t want to spend too much on a camera but since this video is only 720p we can’t see the pics in 4k native. If it isn’t great i’ll just stick to my phone.

Does the boom mic 🎤 have a USB port on it? If so, the you just need to connect the USB to a power source to charge the intrnal battery in the mic. I am curious to know because I want to connect a stereo mic to record my e-drums from two separate drum amps. I'm hoping your boom mic is not battery powered because my stereo mics are not powered.

Honestly I think it just depends on what you prefer! I loved the option to transfer all the videos easily to the computer and having them on the SD card, the quality with good lighting, the option of using a camera instead of my phone and the option to use a different mic. But ultimately it’s up to you if you’re okay with the quality and sound it provides for whatever you’re using it for. I’ve seen a lot of people use lower grade cameras on KZbin and they even say it doesn’t matter so much about quality, content is most important.

I agree with the phone camera quality is better but I would want to invest cause I am afraid I won’t have enough storage. Your phone is a better camera than this one. Look into buying a Point and Shoot by any name brand: Canon, Sony, Fuji, Nikon, Lumix. A little extra cost but will last you a much longer time and a lot better experience

For $150 you should be able to get a decent DJI Osmo Pocket 1 which is an amazing little camera for shooting your type of videos. Pretty good for the price if you ask me.

A couple things after watching the whole video. Metering mode is basically how the camera looks at the image and determines how bright the image is. If you play around with the settings you might be able to get it to work better on that window situation. Autofocus isn’t the best thing to look for too. Most cameras are gonna have that, but what you wanna look for is Continuous Autofocus. It means it constantly focusing the image instead of you having to press a button to re focus. WiFi isn’t for the camera to have internet access, it’s for you to connect your phone to it and change settings or download photos and videos to your phone directly. Cheek the manual for an app you can download for that function. Also the camera doesn’t look too bad, but the audio is atrocious. You can pick up a movo mic from amazing for like $30 and plug it to make the audio much better. The included microphone probably sounded bad because it either used a battery that wasn’t included or it wasn’t turned on or some other stupid reason. A separate microphone is always better tho. With that being said, this doesn’t actually look like too bad of a product for the price. There’s a couple things about it, yeah. But I feel like you can work with it for basic KZbin videos. Btw I’m a videographer and literally shoot weddings and Quinceañeras for a living so yeah I know a thing or 2 about cameras.

It's a cheap piece of junk mystery brand. They're lying about how many megapixels it really has. The reason you don't see any samples online from these cameras is because they are so terrible. Just use your old iPhone or buy some used Canon or Sony camera from a few years ago which will be far better. Also the fake 4K isn't even as good as 1080p from an average camera.
