IT'S HERE! In this video I unbox, setup, and review the NEW Wacom Ergo Stand for the CINTIQ PRO 32"! Months after buying it, I am finally able to tell you if it was worth the wait. There have been some dissatisfied reviewers of the ergo stand for the Cintiq Pro 24, and with the option of the Wacom FLEX ARM, even I wondered if it was the right choice.

I stumbled upon this video after going down the rabbit hole of recommendations after researching the Intuos Pro. Just wanted to chime in and say that if anyone else encounters this situation and is worried about the desk, just remember that so long as the clamp opens wide enough, you can easily reinforce your desk by placing an extra piece of wood below it (or ideally above if you can get some with a decent finish on it). This is the go-to method for reinforcing desks when mounting multi-monitor stands that might have 3+ 27" monitors on them, and should save you a fairly huge amount of space.

Thanks so much for this. I've been in very much the same situation as you with the same doubts. I'm about to buy a cintiq and I've been unsure what to get, but as a tall person (6'4'') as well who likes to stand sometimes I'm certain the arm wouldn't reach high enough for me. This just looked right, despite the price, but the reviews I'd seen were putting me off. But yours confirms all of my hopes with it. I've currently got an ipad pro on a wooden easel on top of 6 thick books, and have my keyboard perched awkwardly at the side. People have been saying you can only have two angles, and I assumed they meant to tilt it (which sounds terrible), but now I realise you can tilt it to any angle, but what they mean is there are two locking positions (forwards or upright). Thank you for watching! To be clear: its true, the arms can only "lock" to 2 positions, but once locked, you can still tilt the Cintiq around the little arm handle axis. I was most worried about this restrictive positioning, but it has been MUCH better than I expected, and I think most people will be able to find a comfortable position with this. Good luck!

Congrats on your Cintiq :) Glad to hear you enjoy it. I do video editing on my 2nd monitor (BenQ), but when not using the Cintiq it functions as a beautiful display too. I'm sure its good for that.

Haha I really appreciate this comment. I mean, I do my best to get to the point. I don't want to waste anyone's time OR my own just for clickbait or popularity. I do this because I love my work and the industry I'm in. I decided to go for the 32" because anything smaller just doesn't justify having 4k resolution to me - you want to be able to SEE the difference. For example there is still the Wacom 27QHD cintiq available, and although its not 4k, the 3 more inches it has on the 24 Pro would kinda compensate, and people can just get that instead and save thousands. So the 24 seemed more like a sidegrade than a definitive upgrade. Then the other aspect us just the thrill of knowing you have something state of the art with the 32. Thanks for question!

Welp, that settles it. I've been looking for this exact video, jarvis desk legs and Cintiq pro. It's like this video was meant for me to watch. I currently own the Mobilestudio pro 16 and was considering buying the 32pro, I was concerned that it might too big of a jump form 16 to 32", so decided to go with the 24 pro touch. Whichever one I go with, I know it is a device which will last for years long long after the Mobilestudio pro's hardware is outdated, I will be happy with it. Thanks!

WARNING, WARNING! Take great care with that little lever at the bottom centre of the stand that allows you to adjust the position of the monitor. Its actually connected inside by the tiniest amount of plastic that can snap off really easily and give you a £450 (UK) headache because you'll be left with either a really nasty sharp piece of metal protruding from the base or a replacement base. I found it best to take the weight of the monitor when adjusting the angle ...... Just before using the side wing adjusters push the monitor itself beck slightly to take the weight off the black lever before pushing it to release, make sure you are taking the weight of the monitor with one hand before using the side adjusters.

Awesome videos. You're making me want the 32". I've heard a lot of complains about it though. Do you have an issues with screen ghosting in particular? It seems like video playback and moving things around on a grey background are particularly unpleasants.

Jordan Jardine hey thanks Jordan, I appreciate it! I’m a pretty picky person and I have to say I have no complaints about the cintiq 32. I haven’t noticed ghosting, although I might have to re check what the definition of ghosting is. Grey bgs? I’ll keep an eye out for it. Historically I never played video games on it, but I got lazy and started doing some FPS gaming on it. I notice a bit of a halo maybe on the edges sometimes but it’s really not very obvious, perhaps that’s what you mean. In either case trust me it won’t drive you crazy.

I have the 24, and I’m sending the ergo back. The stand is everything you say it is, but for me, it simply took up too much space. When in the lap position, it covers my drawer (can’t open it). When it’s lowered on the desktop, it sits too high - you must be 6-4 or taller if you can comfortably able to draw on this in that position. If I were only drawing on my tablet, and not using my computer for many other things, then yes, this is a great product and worth every penny. But that not being the case, it’s too obtrusive for my needs.

I was wondering, how well do you think the 32" would perform as a main monitor, having 2 large monitors on my desk would be overkill so I'm tossing up between getting the 24" cintiq for a dual monitor set-up or just having the one 32" cintiq and adjusting it to a drawing angle when needed so i can save space on my desk.

I've been using the 32" for a main monitor for about 8 months now - and it works! It's nice because you can clean up your workspace. I did recently switch back to having 2 monitors, because you do start to miss that "reference"screen. The 32 is frigging HUGE when you include the bevel. I would actually probably recommend the 24" for most people, especially if u prefer 2 screens. Thx for comment!

I'm right there where you were on being undecided - the Wacom arm or this stand? I think you've helped me decide the "bounce" of the arm would be just too annoying and also as you said, who really draws at so many angles and positions? That would be a cool added option if there was no bounce, but there is. Just out of curiosity, you’ve now had this for 6 months. Any regrets? I’d also ask the same of the 32” pro versus the 24”. I’ve seen comments about the surface texture being better on the 24”. That, and it only gets 3 starts on Amazon?

Hi David, glad I could help you come to a decision! I have no regrets with this stand. It took me a while, but I can safely say I am now fully operational and fluent with the 32 Cintiq Pro + Ergo Stand. I love it. The cintiq is still MASSIVE, and in SOME WAYS I think 32 inches might be too big. I suspect I may have more maneuverability on the 24, and be able to reach the upper half region of the screen more comfortably. With that said, I still love this thing. As you can see in this video my BenQ monitor was my Primary Display and my Cintiq was secondary - I have since changed this setup so that the Cintiq is my PRIMARY display. This makes it much more convenient to use, and something I would recommend if you have more than one monitor. I can't speak to the surface of the 24", but I highly doubt the surface is made out of a different material - I highly highly doubt that. As for the 3 Stars on Amazon, maybe people are disappointed their art hasn't improved. Beware: the Cintiq does NOT innately make you a better artist. It's just a tool that allows for more convenience. So don't fall into that trap. Hit me up if you want to know more. Thanks for watching.

I've seen several video where they show the maximum height and the lowest point on the incline angle, but non where the arms ar at the middle. I guess that I'm asking is if the adjustment is infinitely variable?

I'm pretty certain you can't have it locked in the middle. I've seen someone have it half way with the cintiq resting on the desk or their lap but it's not locked and supported.

Daniel Kopalek Hey there, for almost anyone I would recommend the 24 Cintiq (there is no 27 of the new model). The 32 is too big for most people and especially if you are using it with another monitor too. 24 is comfortable! Good luck

@@MANIAKRA That just confirms it that my desk is too small and that the Cintiq Pro 32"and 24" ergo stand black base is the same size since I just measured the base of the Cintiq Pro 24" over at Vistek today in Edmonton, AB, which has the same dimension of 16" and 18 3/4". Most likely the back end (the grey part with the swivel) would be the size that differentiates from the 2 since it lines up on the sides of the Cintiq monitor. This wouldn't have been an issue if Wacom gave the dimensions of the whole thing when it's been put together (full height, weight, etc.) so thanks for the quick reply.

Hi Sarang, I personally recommend the ergo stand - it's strong as a rock ad there is NO wobling. I think you have to be sure you really want the ergo arm range of motion because I guarentee it will woble. Thanks for watching!

Good question, no I don't think you can fold it like a lawn chair to make it easier to travel, BUT you can just dis-assemble it into smaller pieces in your suit case. It might be easier to keep in the box :( Depends if you are driving or flying by plane.

Rode NT2-A, Focusrite Scarlett solo (to power the mic), and the stand is Rode but I actually don't think it's very good for being so expensive. Overall, you can get the same quality for much less than I spent. I was stabbing in the dark when I bought my mic setup lol.

Hmm I'm not super familiar with this term, and I looked it up, but I can't say that I am experiencing anything like that. Are you concerned generally or are you planning to game on it?

@@MANIAKRA I just bought this cintiq pro 32 and see some mornitor ghosting then I ask support about this they said it is a ghosting problem with this 32 pro model but not with 24 pro model. You can see this problem when moving things around or just go to ufo test and looking for ghosting test and compare the cintiq resault with your regular mornitor.

Nope! It's solid. The one thing I will say is that the rotation is pretty sensitive, almost too sensitive in my opinion. But for straight on use it's great.
