I have both. They offer different things. I like my current TV programs released weekly on Hulu. It makes me anticipate the coming week. Every once in awhile I like the binge factor of Netflix. But I also hate it as it leads to over consumption. I only watch on mobile devices, so I don't care about 4K or live TV. I do wish, like Netflix, on Hulu you could download shows and watch them when you don't have an internet connection.

I have subscribed to Netflix for years and not once have I had a technical problem or glitch. Recently I subscribed to Hulu and within one week I canceled because often when I tuned in there was no sound. I called Hulu and was told to exit, disconnect from the I internet, wait 2 minutes, reconnect, and reopen the app. That procedure did work. Sound was restored, but I had to go through that every time I wanted to watch Hulu. No sound. Intolerable. Cancel.

I only have Hulu because it's bundled with my Sprint bill. I also have Spotify which is also giving Hulu away. I suspect tactics like that is how Hulu has been able to increase their subscriber numbers. For me, Netflix is so much better with way more movies/shows and no commercials.

So Netflix features about 6,000 shows for streaming, but has 100,000 discs. So if you want classics, foreign films, documentaries, and obscure and even out-of-print titles the discs are much better. And of course you can get all the new stuff too!

Media Sawdust they won’t rival cable prices unless you purchase a bunch of streaming services. If you are apart about it, you can share a membership with someone else. Get the package that allows simultaneously streams and split it up with someone. I do think Netflix will soon start having commercials like Hulu, but it’s not horrifically inconvenient.

I have both one of the best thing about Netflix among other things is it has better playback then Hulu Premium. Plus you can skip the intro or fast forward at the end of the show and it'll still go to the next episode without refreshing the page. I still get the one DVD in the mail......Yes!!!

Binging is great and all, but it has one BIG problem which I like to call the Binge Over or Binge Hangover when you want more and haft to wait however with shows that release once a week or so they will seem to be coming out sooner I respect both but I prefer waiting it out weekly makes me enjoy the show more!

I’ve been watching Netflix for I don’t know how long and I really enjoy it. I just started watching Hulu and it is freaking awesome both streaming services have all the stuff I like to watch as far as movies and tv shows. Both are a good combo and go well together I usually start off something on Netflix and then go watching old cartoons like Gumball and Regular Show from Cartoon Network.

I use HBO Max to watch Cartoon Network shows like Flapjack, Regular Show (sometimes), the original Teen Titans, the original Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Lab, Samurai Jack and Foster’s (I wish HBO Max would add Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ed Edd n Eddy, Johnny Bravo and Billy and Mandy by now). I also watch some Adult Swim shows on HBO Max like Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and The Brak Show. I also watch some movies on HBO Max as well like TMNT (2007), Blade, Unfrogiven, Punch-Drunk Love, Batman: The Killing Joke and Richard Jewell.

I know it's very subjective but I prefer Netflix over Hulu and I wouldn't have said that 10 years ago. when Hulu first started I didn't mind the adds because it was free and they had a LOT of classic shows from the late 70's and 80's (yes I'm old). However not only did they start charging and keep the adds, they no longer have the same classic shows they used to. I also prefer Netflix because I like watching documentaries and they have a TON of them whereas Hulu doesn't. At the end of the day, even though Netflix recently raised their price, if you compare the add free price to Netflix HD with two streams it basically the same and I watch more content on Netflix.

Hulu has better streaming quality, but Netflix is much more well optimized, where you can skip the intro of an episode, and hit the next episode button. Netflix has more shows, hulu has more anime. Netflix is better becuase you can find more shows. 2 shows i can recommend on Netflix is "Into the Badlands" and "The 100". 2 incredible shows. The only reason I have hulu is because I am watching naruto, and naruto shippuden is on hulu.

It would be interesting to maybe redo this, now that a number of great shows have "left" Netflix (Thanks Disney...) So many great shows lost... The Office, Punisher, Daredevil....I could go on. Thanks Disney... It's kind of amazing how much great content is gone since this was posted just a few short months ago. So, for me: Hulu. I love that they have FSN regional, I do watch local news on occasion, and can catch the occasional interesting show, live. I won't pay extra for the no commercials deal though. I too browse while watching TV, so it's easy to ignore them.

He is forgetting the factor that it takes a whole year for Netflix to put out a season of a show. I would rather wait 5 months for a season to finish on hulu then binge watch it. Mainly because it comes out the day after the show airs. And he also forgot about the fact that Netflix gets rid of shows faster than they put out any. So my vote is hulu

To me I think Hulu has a better streaming experience, low cost and has good quality tv shows/movies; Netflix is known for it's ad free, quantity of originals and movies but cost more than Hulu. So it all depends on what you're looking for... either "quality or quantity" of shows for a good price.

Had Netflix, no complaints at all, until they got political, causing me to cancel, getting a 30 day FREE trial, binging on the new Sci Fi revised show “Lost In Space” 1st season. Switched to Sling TV, not impressed, then switched to KZbin TV, which I happen to be pleased with, never tried HULU; I’ve got a job and don’t have the time to sit down and watch every show any streaming service offers. How much they charge is irrelevant, honestly. Now that Disney + is just over the horizon, Netflix and HULU better get ready for some serious competition, specially when they’ve offered initial service, probably the lowest tier, at about 1/2 the cost of Netflix service. Comcast et al, better get with the Apps program or they’re going to be providing internet service ONLY; I don’t know why they still remain with their old business model when Apps are all the rave. If one of those spherical objects held in your hands represent 1/3 of the internet traffic (Netflix), I can’t just imagine how much of it is going to change once Disney+ becomes the new kid in the streaming block. I would keep Hulu. In fact I recently got rid of Netflix. and the reason is New content. I don't like a majority of the b roll stuff on netflix. and keeping it for the stuff I do like just isn't worth it. Honestly I will probably turn off netflix for the winter and keep Hulu in the winter. and then turn off hulu in the summer and binge the decent stuff I missed on netflix. and just go back and forth.
