I was still getting the same issue after completing all the steps but I found a fix after some searching. Basically after the 2nd method is done, you remove your bootable USB and then restart your pc as normal.

Man you alive saver , it worked but not the normal way like others did For me after doing the while command prompts it didn't work. 1st method didn't work, I then did second method but didn't know the name of my drive so I removed it to check the name on another drive and switched off the machine and tried restarting it but it was now saying that there is no OS so I tried loading again and boom the process just went smoothly this time

For method 1 to work, you need to restart the installation process from scratch after exiting the terminal so that all necessary drives load. Refreshing alone doesn't cut it.
