I have the same exact thought when folks listen to "Hotel California" and "In the air tonight"... Everybody complains about the intro being so long etc. then the lights come on and Henley is singing & drumming the look on faces when they realize what is happening..😂🤣😂🥰🥰 .Same with "In the air tonight",Oh it's so slow,he's just walking around in his pj's...then the drum set appears and he does what he does best...🤣😂🤣🥰🥰

Okay I must explain my confusion. Years ago on MTV, there was a show called Headbangers Ball. The show was for hard rock and metal. The head banger reference was for up and down head movement to the insane tempo of the music and homage to long hair. Bands like Metallica and Skid row were most notable. So when you young folk say… “that was a banger” after listening to John Denver…. I’m really confused. A banger to us is what you just listened to. And it was a proud moment when you actually head banged during this reaction. It’s the rapid beat that sends a shock wave up your spine to your neck. It’s like an uncontrollable impulse. Fun to watch. Thanks.

I love how you are owning up to this, even though it's funny, we all had miss heard lyrics back-in-the-day. You get a pass, I hear it now. I'm only singing "Very Last City" from now on!😆 On Jimmi Hendrix's "Purple Haze" he has a line that says "Excuse me, while I kiss the sky!"...but many heard "Excuse me, while I kiss this guy!" It can happen to anyone. There are even books about miss-hearing lyrics. Nice tutorial on using "in ears" and/or "wedges". Some of my fave reactions of yours are the revisited ones, glad you did this! 40!

Hey Pegasus, I'm a babyboomer and love most of your reactions. It's nice to see the younger generations getting to know the jams of the 60s and 70's, heck even the 80's had some great music. But the music has changed a lot since then, technology stepped in and took over. Back when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's you only made it as a singer if you had the voice talent with just a microphone. I'm not saying that singers nowadays don't have great voices, the music was just different back then. I'm happy that you are listening to and liking what you are hearing. Back then we didn't have cable t.v., only a few channels using an antenna and rabbit ears. We had record players and vinyl, 8 track, portable radio's. Most on the radio was Classic rock, country, soft rock and we could only pick up a few stations, it was all we knew and listened to. We didn't look at color, we just loved the music. Remember, we only had a few t.v. channels and didn't see what they looked like unless it was an album cover or went to a concert. Or they appeared on a weekly t.v. show like Ed Sullivan or American Band Stand and Soul Train. But, anyways thank you for bringing back the Babyboomers Classic music back to life. But really, you have to admit that you like it." The Eagle's" is a great rabbit hole to keep going down, too many hits. Desperado, New Kid in Town, Tequila Sun Rise, Take To The Limit, Lying Eyes, Life in the Fast Lane, Witchy Woman, Take it Easy, Peacefull Easy Fealing. Plus, many more, please support "The Eagles" channel, it's great music.

I absolutely love the Eagles!! I played them non-stop in '88ish. Summer of '89 I played pretty much only G&R, (was late to the party), and let's just say that my daughter was born in the Spring of '90. I'm not entirely sure, but would bet $$ I don't have that her middle name should have been "Rose" (or Gun) HA!! 😅😂

But either way, another great reaction!

You really need to react to GNR "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and "Civil War", I know you'll love them both!

Paradise City. full lyrics? ok here ya go. Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty (take me home) Oh, won't you please take me home? Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty (take me home) Oh, won't you please take me home? Just an urchin living under the street, I'm a Hard case that's tough to beat I'm your charity case so buy me somethin' to eat I'll pay you at another time Take it to the end of the line Rags and riches, or so they say, you gotta Keep pushing for the fortune and fame You know it's, it's all a gamble when it's just a game You treat it like a capital crime Everybody's doing their time Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Oh, won't you please take me home? Yeah-yeah Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Take me home Strapped in the chair of the city's gas chamber Why I'm here, I can't quite remember The surgeon general says it's hazardous to breathe I'd have another cigarette but I can't see Tell me, who you're gonna believe? Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Take me home, yeah-yeah Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Oh, won't you please take me home? Yeah So far away So far away So far away So far away Captain America's been torn apart, now He's a court jester with a broken heart He said, "Turn me around and take me back to the start" I must be losin' my mind, "Are you blind?" "I've seen it all a million times" Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Take me home, yeah-yeah Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Oh, won't you please take me home? Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Take me home, yeah-yeah Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Oh, won't you please take me home? Home I wanna go, I wanna know Oh, won't you please take me home? I wanna see, how good it can be Oh, won't you please take me home? Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Take me home (oh, won't you please take me home?) Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Oh, won't you please take me home? Take me down (oh yeah), spin me 'round Oh, won't you please take me home? I wanna see, how good it can be Oh, won't you please take me home? I wanna see, how good it can be Oh, oh, take me home Take me down to the Paradise City Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty Oh, won't you please take me home? (I want you, I want you take me home) I wanna go, I wanna know Oh, won't you please take me home? Baby, yeah

Some of these songs are so loud and noisy I didn't realize what they were saying until many years later when I got my first cassettes and CDs and jammed them non-stop riding the strip until a.m. partying. Lol

From about '87-'90, GnR ruled the rock world. They were it, everyone else was a distant 2nd.

G'n'R hit different than the hardcore metal acts and the hair (glam-rock) bands from back in the day. THIS first album is THE Guns & Roses album. Use Your Illusion I & II were achievements for sure especially for a band like this and at that time. THIS album tho captured their unhinged energy! It bangs, slaps and all the adjectives that describe this album as their best!

Saw Guns N Roses live in LA when they opened for the Rolling Stones. They were something else! The energy that band was like no other! I thought we were there to see Rolling Stones but GNR stole the show.

I have misheard lyrics in songs as well. It’s funny too, I was about 10 when Dirty Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap) was released. I thought it was saying Dirty Deeds ( Thunder King)..🤷‍♂️ LOL Another one was around the same time. I’m from East Tennessee mind you. Alan O’Day’s ‘Undercover Angel’ , I always heard Undercover Angel, Midnight Tennessee…neither made sense but sounded right to a kid! LOL I was in the Army in Germany in 1987 and heard the sound and my buddies were more than happy to line me out…They said dumb hillbilly…lol

I can feeeze frame this video and find myself in the crowd. The black and white footage from monsters of rock festival, castle donnington aug 1988, 96,000 people. Two people died in the crowd surge during thier set. Its also the show that broke g’n’r in Europe as megastars, which then broke them in the america.

BP, when there were no videos, we had to hope the artists or record companies included the lyrics with the albums. But seriously, it was less than half the time. Every one of us sang the wrong words to the songs. CCR said "There is a bad moon on the rise." What did we sing? "There is a bathroom on the right."

Good Reaction...... 10:55 "I Don't know if I ever heard this part before?...."...... Shows the up/down side of live performances...... Some times the chorus or Solo will get extended, or they might change the pace/tempo of the song......... Just like if you ever go watch a live play..... No two nights/performaces are identical....... You saw it in the Journey video.... where Steve sang Houston instead of Detroit.....
