Bro that actually happened to me, i thought i graduated from college for a solid semester. i met with my advisor, was approved for graduation, walked, got a pic of me holding my diploma holder but i never got my actual diploma in the mail. When i asked about it 6 months later they told me i still needed 6 hours of *electives*

Colleges can only retract degrees if they have evidence that a student earned the degree illegitimately. If you went through all the bells and whistles and were told by multiple academic advisors and employees at the college that you were graduating, they are legally required to send you proof of your degree if you demand it. I'd threaten to sue the hell out of that college if I were in your shoes.
