I watched No Way Home for the first time a while back, and my biggest complaint is that Peter was made aware he could talk to the administrator of school his friends didn't get into prior to asking Strange to use a spell to basically Men in Black the universe and making him mess up. It made Peter look dumb and it was funny of Strange to point that out afterward. If they had Peter talk to the administrator first and was shot down, him asking Strange for help would have made more sense.

I mean Ben never said the line in its original comic appearance so it didn’t really matter who said it. Also I don’t think Ben was a major part of Peter’s story, at least not in AF 15. Ben just dies and we don’t hear anything else about him so Ben not being present isn’t unprecedented.

Remember back in Civil War when Peter Parker essentially paraphrased to Tony stark the with great power line? He said ‘when you can do the things that I can but you don’t and bad things happen it is because of you’ which is essentially saying he could’ve prevented something like his uncle Ben’s death happening. And I’m homecoming he even further says to Ned when he finds out his secret identity ‘you cannot tell may, I mean after everything that’s happened with her” obviously hinting at the loss of her husband aka uncle Ben And in Homecoming we see Peter disobey Tony stark because not only does he want to prove he’s worthy of the avengers but by the end of the second act and third act he knows he has that responsibility regardless to be a hero and stop the vulture and he rejects Tony starks offer at the end making a responsible choice Then far from home comes in and makes Peter neglect his responsibility which is completely out of character. It was a weak attempt as the Spider-Man no more arc. On top of this in the end of the second act to third act, Peter has to be told he isn’t iron man and he’s his own hero despite him already knowing that prior in civil war since he was already being a hero hence how Tony found him Then no way home arrives and aunt may has to tell Peter the with great power like as if he never even said it himself or knew anything about responsibility!?? Tf?? So many inconsistencies it’s unbelievable. I’m glad the 4th film gets a better director but it also needs better writers. The writers of these movies apparently also wrote ant man and the wasp! Yeah! Not a surprise they’re poorly written movies then 🙈

As a giga Spider-Man-Shill myself. The root of all of this movies flaws is the fact it's a soft reboot/"second" origin story. It's been said before, but the trilogy itself is like his origin story. It really hits that feeling of continuation/turning a new chapter in Peter's life that you only got from the comics previously. As Peter grew in this movie, more of the problems I had with Tom Hollands Spider-Man were resolved. Ever since seeing it on opening day I have been hype for the next movie because he's finally at a point where I think he's a perfect adaption of comic 616 Spider-Man.
@Dilpik15 күн бұрын
@@Skalias yeah that’s a great point, I fully agree. It was definitely a little frustrating at the time as to why Peter was spending 3 movies in highschool without being told with great power comes great responsibility but in the long run I think it will be cool to look back and have a 3 movie origin story. But this only works if they are able to execute on the new series of spiderman movies they are moving towards with Tom. I’m praying they don’t go the multiverse route and can establish that hero relationship with New York City like I mentioned in my video.

honestly i can't with this movie, i hated it when it came out, and i still hate it now. i have so many issues with it it would be too much to put in a comment but they all boil down to the movie feeling lazy. i remember walking out of the theatre on opening night with my boys and just not being happy, everyone was non stop glazing and yapping abt how good the movie was, and i just couldn't feel the same way. i went to rewatch it that same week just to confirm if my feelings about it were the same or maybe i was just having a bad day. and the second time was even worse. in my opinion, this is the worst spidey movie. one of the worst movies i've ever watched. it feels disrespectful, like a spit in the face. they throw cheap cameos that didn't feel earned or just any good at all. every character in this movie is written so out of character it's pretty horrible to watch. homecoming is one of my favorite spidey movies, and I feel like no way home just spits in the face of those characters. i do want to make a full video myself on why i detest this film, and probably also one on why i adore homecoming so much. one day i will. good video though, i liked the review, gonna sub n watch out for more spidey content :)

@@lilinyoki I totally get where you are coming from and agree with some things you said there with things feeling cheap. I think for me the second half just really works because I was growing frustrated with Peter’s MCU character really wanting him to mature and get out of highschool so the death of may and that ending was super satisfying for me. Also I can’t lie the cameos did really work for me because like I mentioned in the video the other peters actually served the plot by helping the MCU Peter get over his loss and stay good. Nah people just hating on it to get clicks. No way home is not just cameos. It features the best, scariest mcu villain to date, some of the best action in all of he mcu not to mention everyone gets an arch. It is heavy handed with spider man and mcu nostalgia, but there's so much more than that like character arcs, comedy which landed for me 95% fp the time. Willem dafoe is the scariest mcu villain by far. Tim Andrew and to a lesser extent Toby have unique satisfying character arcs , he'll even electro. Besides the fan service, it's top 3 spider movies ever made. At least if not top 2. And definitely top 5 at least, and top 3 at best comic book movies ever made. Sure it's not artsy like oppenheimer. But the audience connection to the cast, and what happens in that world, and as far as I'm concerned if you care about the characters, and the movie is well written acted etc. All culminating in an absolute achievement in flimmaking.
@Dilpik13 күн бұрын
@@Bar-Del agreed for the most part. I would probably say the scariest MCU villain for me was either Thanos or the high evolutionary from guardians 3., winter solider was also terrifying but yeah Green goblin is up there.
@TravionMusic13 күн бұрын
This movie was abysmal, and the writers DID not carefully watch the previous films before writing this movie, it was rushed with so many plot holes that it ruined a movie that could have easily been an amazing film. But of course, general audience blinded by nostalgia.
@Bar-Del12 күн бұрын
@Dilpik that's funny you mention that because those are the two names that came to my head as I was writing the comment. The reason I picked goblin as the scariest isn't because he's capable of the extermination of all life ever, but rather the pure unpredictable sadistic agent of chaos who just has fun destroying real people's lives. That's what makes him scary to me. Of course if we're talking power and sheer ability to destroy not only peoples lives, but the people themselves, of course that goes to thanos, and the high evolutionary is in a league of his own for sure. I just can't stop thinking about that scene in nwh when Peter is punching goblin in the face as hard as he can, and the goblin F***ING LOVES it, and cackles hysterically with that horrific look in his eyes, because he's loving every second of that confrontation, while thanos viewed confrontation as a means to an end. So both great and scary in their own way, thanks for the reply!
@Bar-Del12 күн бұрын
@TravionMusic did you not read my comment? That's fine if you don't like it, but what you said is just objectively false. It's not about nostalgia, and sure that's some people's experience, but re read my comment, then read my reply to the other guy that commented. The movie is an absolute achievement of filmmaking. Objectively. If you didn't like it that's okay, I wish you did. But I literally just outlined how well written it is, how almost every character has an arc, how people including myself love and connect with the characters on screen, and how everyone stays pretty much the same from their original appearance. Not 100%, and there's for sure plot holes, a good example being that electro shouldn't know Peters secret identity, and then they even acknowledged it when max thought spidey would be black. But these things are so minor, and are so outshined by Willem dafoes terrifying performance that easily beats out his first performance in spider man 1, plus these aren't just cameos they're literally just characters in the story. A cameo is what Stan Lee did before he tragically passed. A few seconds maybe a couple lines and done never seen again til the next cameo. The Green Goblin, doc ock, and electro definitely get the most screen time, and therefore care, with lizard and sandman getting sorta shafted, but people were most excited for ock and goblin, and they make the story. The story doesn't happen if the green goblin doesn't appear. Same with Toby and Andrew. The movie you seem to have mistaken no way home for was the flash movie. The flash movie did everything you said in your comment, and worse in some cases. Other than Keaton, everything is a terrible cgi cameo. No way home is a heartfelt love letter in a way the flash couldn't begin to comprehend, it's not some corporate cash grab. We'll the final product is not, the original idea is definitely a corporate cash grab by Sony. But watts Holland maguire Garfield fiege and everyone who worked on that movie truly loved spider man, and you can feel it in almost every frame. It manages to be a quintessential spidey story while also giving us the kind of team up we could've only dreamed of. You should rewatch it with my comment in mind. Ignore the plot holes, endgame had them too, and I think endgame is also a fantastic movie, and an even bigger accomplishment in cinema due to the sheer amount of characters actors and over a decade of build up to it. But it has time travel which dooms the movie to have plot holes before any pen touched paper in the writing process. Or finger on keyboard you get it. Relax man, just enjoy the movie. It's not a bad movie and it's not badly written, it's an absolute achievement in flimmaking. The cheers of every crowd who saw it shows that much at least. If you don't like it that's fine but don't insult it and act like it was batman v superman, both justice league movies especially hack Snyder version, or the flash. It's just not. Objectively. Cheers anyway tho, I hope that stick falls out your ass so you can enjoy the movie lol
