Revisiting the Kinect - Kinect "Ghost" Challenge with Kenneth Biddle

In this episode, I take on a (friendly) challenge from a viewer. A well-known KZbinr claims his house is extremely haunted and has been using the Xbox Kinect to capture "stick figure ghosts" that walk around like normal people - which is in direct opposition to what I've demonstrated in the past. So, I dive into figuring out just how such "proof of ghosts" could be captured - and I show you exactly how I solved this mystery.

For me, that's more than enough PROOF that he's a fake. He acts like it's a poltergeist and that he is running out options for help. Meanwhile, if what you say is true then he's causing the ghosts to stay. But who would do that? Obviously he doesn't want anyone there because nothing would happen and he would be debunked. Even though he states this activity happens daily. What a pos for lying about such a thing.

His videos just pop up on my u tube, and i was like... Can kinect really catch ghost movement? And I came across your video!! And hey, u just debunked it yesterday.. What a coincidence I also think really haunted videos a lil bit "too good to be true" And was looking for an explanation my self, and u did the explanation really well. i think what really gave it away was how much extra he did. going to haunted insane asylums, bringing haunted dolls into his home etc... one who is truly haunted and suffers from it, wont go out of his way to find even more haunted shit in his free time. also you would expect his outer appearance to deterioate much more in 3 years of sleepless nights. besides that i do agree that shit is entertaining af und he does a great job telling his little stories

I agree in the vast majority of the case unexplainable videos are fake, or the result of pareidolia, there might be a chance ghosts could exist but the science hasn't found anything unfulifiable yet. I'm open to the idea they're real only, I can't say they exist, there was a time before microscopes where a medical hypothesised bacteria and other microbes after all. All I can say is that with current technology in mind we don't have proof.

It’s like photo editing to me, but for videos, it’s just overlay of “imagery” (in this case videos) and he masked out the actual dog and left the figure. A ghost petting a dog is comical

If there is credible evidence of him creating fraudulent "evidence", like the work done here, and he is refusing to let skeptics investigate the place and/or his methods while filming, then his videos should be assumed to be fraudulent until he proves otherwise. Go over to his channel and challenge him to let skeptical investigators/special effects experts see him film these things in real time. Otherwise he’s just another scam artist, however he’s managing to do it. "Fool me once, shame on you", and I’ll never let you fool me again because I will have no more trust in anything you claim.

New subscriber here! I have to thank you because I feel like I fell for that channel Really Haunted. I'm usually scientifically minded but his videos had me wondering and scratching my head. I have one other question about one of the video tricks he does and wonder if you know how it's done? He gets all these dark transparent orbs or areas that pass through him or end up going into him, or manifest and then shoot up through the ceiling. He had one that came from the other side of the room that shot up to the camera dimming the camera and shaking it as if it was thrown like a pitched ball to a batter from the batter's point of view. There's an example on 8/10/22 and the 6/23/22 @ 0.38 - 2.50 mark. Also how do people get their pets to respond if you happen to know? I am woefully uninformed on this subject and really appreciate you opening my eyes. Thanks!

I know they go back and edit their videos before they upload them but how would they create it to appear and disappear on the computer whilst they're filming it. If that makes sense haha.

If you got a black background you dont need to key it you can use the add or screen blend mode and itll cut out the back background perfectly

Hey Kenny, I live in the UK and, having more than a keen interest in this subject matter, have already tried to visit the place in question but received no reply. I wonder why, especially after seeing the brilliant demonstration in this video! Despite being a firm believer in the paranormal I believe first and foremost in being willing to rule out the possibility of fakery, natural causes and overactive imagination. The less than 1% of cases that then remain suddenly become far more interesting! I was wondering if you would consider doing a video on E.V.P.'s as this is another area where, not necessarily fakery but, interference could possibly cause false positives leading to incorrect claims of paranormal occurrences? I have long enjoyed pranking many good people courtesy of my wicked Photoshop and video editing skills - and their need to believe. In this instance, it would’ve been of far easier(and faster) to use the common NLE video image blend modes, forgoing the keying process entirely. I reproduced the same (without artifacts) in FCP in a few seconds - without artifacts. Give it a shot, it’s fun!

Although I have a friend who owns What was rumored to be the most haunted building/restaurant in Seattle. And that’s part of why she got a great deal on it. She was not a believer in ghosts or the paranormal whatsoever, when she bought the place. But she will admit there’s a lot of weird, unusual and unexplained things that have happened since she’s owed the place. Water faucets turning on, lights turning off and on. People feeling touch and contact. Apparitions and activity that have scared the crap out of staff to ware it’s been hard to keep people. She says the bar is so active. She would challenge people, especially skeptics to spend the night there. I was going to do an overnight podcast there with some friends, most of which are skeptics who said no, like they would be afraid of their mind playing into things. Honestly I’m not sure she would do it now even tho she Has been on the travel channel haunted locations, Dead files, When Ghosts Attack but doesn’t do shows like that anymore. But she is still part of the underground Seattle ghost tour. She feels whatever is there, as far as “paranormal investigation” she doesn’t want to exploit it any longer. She believes they are more than likely the traumatize spirits of turn-of-the-century sex workers. That and there was a fire that burned that whole part of town in the late 1800s. I could send her an email, I wonder if she would be open to you as a skeptic 🤷🏻‍♂️ As a skeptic herself she would say if you’ve walked in her shoes, And experienced a what she has experienced for the years since she’s owed the place, you maybe would change your perspective.

I watched the KZbin really haunted all the time. I just now stumbled across this video. Pretty cool what you did. But on yours the arms and legs don't jump around like they do on his video. What if it does happen and it is real? I agree he did a great job on this video, but it doesen't prove that Lee is a fake. It only proves that it is posible to fake it. Now the dogs reacting to the unseen may be a little harder to re-create but it probably could be done. Only time will tell who is scamming who.

@@Nafe- I checked out "The Shape" and I see no proof of it being fake. I see examples of how it could be faked, but anything can be faked with todays tech. I have had paranormal experiences all my life and I'm 60 now. I also have video of paranormal activity that I know for fact is real because I was there filming it. But if I posted it I know for fact that a lot of people would say it was faked. There are things in this world we have no clue about what they are, like "Life". What makes something alive? And where does it go when it dies? Why can't we make it alive again? How can 2 cells get together and create an animal that is alive. How can something without physical mass that is invisible to the human eye interact with physical objects? These questions and many more are what keep me investigating this stuff. Atoms are real, or are they? They are energy, so how can they make something solid?

I have 1 stick figure that is on my dads old grandfather clock, I presume it could be my dad, because being close to the clock it is very cold, why does my stick man alternate colors, first grey, second Pink and then yellow

I believed him & prayed for him for a long time. In fact I had the most hearts & comments posted on his channel. Then when ‘NEW’ spirits like his childhood friend came thru Alexa I became suspicious. Found out all you had to do was ask Alexa to repeat you. And that is how he dubbed in Vlad, his dead childhood friend and now talking to his guardian Angel thru Alexa. I watched Parrple KZbin channel to learn about the overlaying to create the stick figure. However your demonstration is the best I’ve seen so far. Lee deleted my comments calling out how Alexa works for him and every negative comment. You’ll only see positive supportive comments on his videos. He is preying on those that have no knowledge like I did of technology and taking advantage of their good hearts & Faith. And worse of all using peoples prayers & concern to make money. To me he is the evil he fakes while pretending faith, using prayers, ‘holy water’, the rosary, Holy prayers, God our father, Jesus & the Holy Spirits name to fool people for monetary gain & attention. I now pray Lee stops and gets mental help.

I watched another one of his videos today after a 3 month break (i too, was a believer) and it was the same old Garbage of him talking to the camera for 10 minutes, sitting on his sofa doing nothing for 5 minutes, then a bunch of 'banging' and him doing more nothing. Revisiting his channel today made me realise how Pathetic he is. He's spent 2 years of his life in that house recording fake videos and replying daily to hundreds of sympathic comments from deluded people. What kind of a life is that?! Does he even have a job? Hello. I'm only about 15 minutes into the video. I've got an app question for a Motorola phone. I have Ghost Tube SLS on my cell phone. I was in the hotel parking lot, alone, smoking a cigarette, bored, and got the app out. I caught two stick figure anomalies humping two vehicles that were about the parking spaces away from each other. I recorded it cause, hell, it was funny. I also went to an empty field in a Native American reserve area of Western New York on Rt 77 and got two anomalies; one looking at the information board, and the other one crouching behind a rock. Of course I recorded. Are these fake? Any scientific information on residual "hauntings", electromagnetic fields, etc, would be greatly appreciated.

It's as easy as this fella here showing you it is. He literally says here he has no idea how to really edit, he just presses buttons and does so through trial and error. So...with all that out there, seems it's rather easy to do with no background.
