I loved Awakening and most of the games afterwards too, but YOU are the reason I started working on the backlog of FE. I'm about halfway through Roy's game and while it's challenging I am trucking through it like a champ

Your recent Fire Emblem and Advance Wars streams made me go back and really watch through your vanilla Engage vods and, well... I might have become a little addicted, lol. 😅 I'd previously played through Awakening, Fates (only Birthright so far) and Binding Blade and decided to eventually play all the games from GBA going forwards. Now, watching your FE content, the urge got too strong and I finally started playing Blazing Blade for the first time. Literally just finished the Lyn chapters and having a blast! Playing these games just always feels so comfy and cozy (even when the map gets a little chaotic or difficult.) Really looking forward to when I get around to Tellius! Because I dug Engage's music so much while watching you play, another side effect was that I listened to a lot of FE soundtracks on KZbin and actually bought the Three Houses OST on CD. Really hope Engage's OST gets an official release soon as well.

I still own PoR and RD. I must have played PoR over twenty times. Titania and Nephenee are some of my most favorite character designs in FE history. 3:29:50 - By the way, you get more bonus experience if you let all of your units escape before Ike. (You can do this for the prison chapter.) Not that it’s necessary considering that PoR is relatively easy, compared to other entries in the series.

I beat this game last month, and I had a blast! I've been marathoning all of the games and am now on Shadows of Valentia, this game exudes a lot of nostalgic feelings as I remember my sibling playing it when I was younger, though I never played it until this year. Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn are my absolute favorites. I typically watch the Like a Dragon streams, but I'm excited to watch your Engage streams when I get to that game in the marathon, it's fun to watch while doing my own playthroughs lol.

Time-stamp 2:28:17 - That looks so cool!!! I wish my sister was a fan of Fire Emblem. That said, I’m kinda glad I didn’t get the Japanese version to play Maniac Mode. I watched some gameplay footage, and the enemy density on Maniac is absurd. For example, “Clash” in Chapter 26 is inundated with enemies.

Hoo boy, 4:42:44 was a painful move. Even in Easy Mode, leaving a gap in the line with a bunch of enemies would have been lethal. It would have been a hilarious video-clip if the enemy phase happened right after Titania’s turn.

Time-stamp 4:55:24 - How in the blue blazes did you get Soren to level 15 with a Magic stat of 18??? That’s incredible! I never got Soren to be so strong at this point. And you capped Soren’s Skill 😭 4:56:34 - How is Boyd level 13? 4:56:09 - And how is Oscar dealing 18-19 damage against Soldiers?! Granted, Soldiers aren’t really so defensive, but my Oscar never dealt this much damage at this point in the game. 18:27 - Ohhhh… you’re playing on Easy Mode. This makes far more sense. The experience gains you get in this mode are incredible. That makes me want to try Easy Mode just to have all of the Greil Mercenaries dominate the early game. 1:57:55 - Soren’s exp gain is insane. From one kill, Soren gets 40 exp.

Time-stamp 2:32:48 - Nobody trains Sothe in PoR 🤣 It’s weird game-design for Sothe to have Blossom as a skill, without a class-promotion. On that note, if you transfer data to the Wii for Radiant Dawn, you’re better off not training Sothe to max level. Because if you get Sothe to max level, I think he transfers all of his PoR stats - whether they’re capped or not, meaning that RD-Sothe will be worse off with transfer. Which is strange because, for other units, they only get transfer bonuses if they capped their stats. For example, if Jill reaches max level in her promoted class with capped stats in, say, Strength and Speed, that means Radiant Dawn Jill will get +2 stats to Strength and Speed - allowing her to double more easily out of the gate.

I disliked Boyd so much that I killed him off intentionally on the 2nd mission. Nowadays I do it on the 1st mission.
