I used to have these boots for 4 years the non gtx version but the one with revit own membrane. Sizing was on the small side so I wore them but couldn’t use very thick socks without feeling uncomfortable. Also they were leaking in heavy rain travel days. I contacted revit and asked them to make a gtx true to size version and apparently they already knew it and were working on it. They had some trouble getting the gtx membrane they said cause they had to commit to a minimum pairs of boots produced in order to get the membrane by gore. Anyway i have now changed to sidi adv2 boots which are also an amazing boot super durable good protection and good looking. Also has the gtx membrane and is taller so far 2 years not once they leaked.

The protection the Sidi Adventure 2 offers is significantly worse than the expedition. Bret Tkcacs has great videos explaining that most "adventure" boots dont offer good protection for offroad. The expedition is a bit of a unicorn since it is very comfortable, waterproof and still has protection that is arguably even better than Alpinestar Tech 7 boots. Stay safe :)

@@Sweetw4ter I’ve seen the video and I agree of course that expedition is a great boot offering high protection with comfort and waterproofing. They are in my watch list and I might get them but this was about the revit discovery which is a step down.

Just ordered my first pair of waterproof shoes. I will be going on my first long tour next week, and it was important for me to stay 100% dry since the weather here in Europe is quite unpredictable right now. They are quite expensive, but Revit's quality speaks for itself. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Thanks for the review.

on comfort side - the best I have ever used. But the water proofness is a bit of a worry. The previous versions with "outdry" membrane were not even splash capable. I really hope the gore versioon are better and keep feet dry and warm.

Great review and very tempting, I am almost sold…. However, I reminded myself of last season and realised my separate pairs of winter and summer boots cost less than these…. But I love the wind up sinch system, I have the same on my Furygan summer boots, an excellent system.

Had a set of these, they are indeed super comfortable, but for me if you're riding off road wear proper off-road boots, a simple tumble could lead to life changing ankle injuries in something like this. I ride pretty much year round in Sidi Crossfire boots, I race in them, do multi day rides in them, they are soooo comfortable - but you wouldn't wanna walk a mile in them - I think it's a bit of a myth that MX boots aren't comfortable when they are, they just aren't good for walking around town in! I've found with everything I've bought from Revit ive had to go one size bigger, defo had to get the 45 in these when normally I'm a 44.

Hey Tony, thanks for another great review. I am torn between this boots and the SIDI Aria boots that you also reviewed. I would say that I do 95% road riding and some very occasional small trail riding. I would like the boot to be comfortable and easy to walk in small towns or around a racing track when I go and enjoy the races. At the moment the price difference between the sidi and the Revit is €160 do you think it is actually worth the price difference or the SIDI would just do the job? Thank you!

Both are easy to walk in, obviously the revits are a little more bulky, so it depends what you want to wear over the top.

To my knowledge, any good cooler can resole any boot with Vibram soles
@jjnewman659 ай бұрын
After getting an answer from Revitt they said the boot was not designed to be resoled. I did take the boot to my local cobbler who said it was possible if you could find the identical sole to replace it with. The issue was with the toe area as the sole of the rubber comes up over the toe (known as a bumber toe I believe) After checking the Vibram range I couldn’t find the exact sole. So I am presuming Vibram have designed this sole exclusively for this boot. The nearest possible candidate as a replacement could be their art.01120 FLAME, a sole designed for its flame resistant properties which does have a bumber toe design. Anyway I’m not sure if I will do enough walking in these to ever wear the soles out but I wanted to try and get to the bottom of the question I asked here. Perhaps there are soles out there that would work? Please post here if anyone does know. Btw I’m Tony I’m delighted with the my purchase. Comfortable straight out the box, just and issue with sizing. Personally had to size up one.

Hello Are the boots stiff when shifting gears on the motorcycle? I had a pair of adventure boots from a different brand, that i used 2 time, because I felt it was so stiff, i almost could manouver my foot when shifting up and down.

Hi Beverley, hard to tell, quite often the cheaper ones are just that, poor quality that doesn’t last, but it’s not always the case. It’s a bit pot luck with the cheap ones.
