I have a 2017 Honda Civic Sedan EX-T. Nice video and helpful for me. I just replaced all 4 pieces in about 10 minutes. Cost me a total of $35.70 including taxes and they were OEM off Ebay. Mine came with a tool to pop it up of the frame like you showed. Honda would do it for $675.00.......LOL. My old ones were dry rotted.

I asked about replacing the window trim on my 2014 civic while I had it at the dealership to do some work on the engine and it was outrageous how much it'd cost. I'm going to have to try this way as mine are all dry rotted and cracking

Just did this to my 2015 Honda civic. Dealer said they needed to remove door handles which would cost 4 hours labor plus parts. Easily replaced with doing that & saved a ton of money

Awesome how-to! Just did this on a 2017 Civic 4-door. Just FYI, the rear windows have the little push in clip on both ends. Tried it both ways, but was easier to pop the rear clip in just like you showed on the front door seal, and work from the rear to the front.

Thanks for the video. I just installed my window trims on my '19 Si sedan. One thing for all: I bought my window trim from a vendor on Amazon. It had the correct p/n, while not original Honda parts. The tabs were too big on each trim. I had to cut them off and it fit fine; as it was too late to return to Amazon.🔴

Anyone have any luck? Getting stuck on the rear window as well. Edit: solved. On the driver’s side rear window, you have to insert into the “slot” (towards the back of the car) first, slightly bend towards the front (near the door frame), and then push down until you hear the clicks

Thanks for the video. It was very helpful. I just did all 4 on my 2017 Civic sedan. I know some of the comments were asking about the back door window trim on 4 door cars. It was just as easy. The only difference between the front and rear doors is that where the front door trim has the hook at the rear and slides into the mirror housing at the front end, the rear window trim has hooks on both ends. (same style hook). Tip: one side of my car was in the sun and that side rubber trim got soft from the heat and was much easier to manipulate and remove.

I'd like to know the operator and cleaning history of our 2016 Civic. It seems all the rubber is deteriorating, and I suspect some was replaced prior to us buying it. Steering wheel is especially bad, but all the window exterior trim is baked and cracked. Thanks for the easy instructions.

Depending on where you live, it doesn’t really matter with these cars. I’ve lived in Florida for the past 6 years, owning my Civic Si even longer and the rubber is basically the only thing that has deteriorated like this. My neighbor has a 9th gen sedan and her rubber is all rotten too.

Very good overall demonstration. However that cut at 6:29 during possibly the most tricky final set was not ideal because it leaves a clueless viewer to worry that some difficulties were encountered and whatever happened during the cut was possibly important and not included. Also the camera on this part could be lower where you positioned your own eyes to sneak a look underneath a bit. Those view angles are worth their weight on gold.

I’m going to try it as soon as I can get the parts. My 2021 Existing trim is actually melting. Neither Honda nor my warranty company won’t do anything claiming it’s not defective material. They want $200 to replace each one! What a crock!! Anyway looks easy thx for the great post! I’ll let you know how it goes!

There's also 5 more yellow clips along the length of the moulding on my 2013 Civic Coupe. it's NOT just one clip. Which is why most people will take it to a shop, unless you want to take off the door interior. Anyone else encounter this?

you forgot the black plastic piece on the door. remove the screw, slide that off and then you don't need that "bondo" scraper. the weatherstrip slides right out without prying..

Lincoln MKS rear doors trim has 2 clips that need to be depressed.one on each end ..where the Honda just have the one push in clip.
