I find it hard to belive the bridge was built in 1837 but i maybe wrong.

I think it's 1937 not 1837. My late grandmother said the bridge was built before World War II by the British. Before that it was a rope bridge and British trucks use to ply below the rope bridge crossing the river to go towards Kohima side.
