Im from the UK, my mum is black from Barbados and my dad is white English. They have been married for 46 years, I'm 43 and my brother is 42 at the end of this year. They both met in barbados as my dad was an electrician on boats that sailed all over the world and happened to meet our mum and brought her back to the UK. My parents faced racismn from his family so they weren't in our lives. We grew up with our mothers side of the family and dad. They go back to where they met years ago every few years. Dad's 70 soon and mum is already 65. I love my parents very much and now we have kids of our own, I have a son and daughter with my hubby(who happens to be white-French) and my brother has a daughter with his wife who happens to be white- italian. My aunt also married a white englishman they've been together for 60 years! London is a melting pot so we never felt left out, and having mixed cousins also helped. When black men date white women it is a huge achievment for them and they show their relationship proudly. I’m a 57 yr old black woman and I never thought I would see such hate, disdain, and disrespect from black men towards black women like we are witnessing in this day and time. How foolish it is to believe that black women would not start dating/marrying out. In fact, ALL three of my daughters are married to white men (my youngest just got married 6 months ago). My husband and I both encouraged them to seek men based on their “heart/character” and NOT bc they share the same complexion. That alone removed a large portion of black men from even being an option for them. That doesn’t mean that all black men are colorist (self haters), disrespectful, arrogant, etc., but a vast majority of this younger generation are, and no one has the time to seek out the very few who would be a viable candidate. My message to young black women is to never settle for a man bc he shares your same skin complexion. Respectful, honorable, God fearing, family oriented men come in a variety of complexions. If you’re placing black men as a priority you are already at a disadvantage bc only 6% of men in America are black and you have to also take into consideration how many of those are homosexuals/bisexual, in prison, who want to be with non-black women AND those who are not even interested in marriage. In this day and age, it is unwise/foolish for black women to limit their options to black men when there are literally millions more of non black men to choose from.

I’ve been dating out the past 3-4 months on dating apps and other race men LOVE us. It’s still people with bad intentions out there, but there’s an overall noticeable difference with the approach in life and goals far as family and marriage structure. I am a white (Italian) American and have been happily married to a mixed-race Puerto Rican woman who is part black for 47 years. We are both sick and tired of all the interracial couples in TV commercials today. They are usually black men with white women (the most common examples) or white men with East Asian women. Hispanics are almost completely left out. There was intermarriage between whites and blacks and Native Americans in Latin America long before it began in North America or Europe. At least Spanish men married the women instead of making them mistresses like the British, French, and North Americans did.

I’ve only had success with white men. Black guys never want to commit. White men are wining and dining and have a fear of losing out on me 100xs the black men I’ve dated. I dated multiple black men and when it came down to it they always hit me with the “I’m not ready to settle down” “you’re cute but your not sexy” white men never have this dilemma. They’re way more intentional, they’re straight forward- there are no mind games to their courting. They are quick to want to be in a relationship and they move faster. I left a 35 year old black man who still wasn’t ready to settle down with a wife or children for a white guy that within 2 months told me he wanted to marry me and he couldn’t imagine his life without me. He was 29. More black women need to date out if they want to get married. I also think black men hold us to an impossible standard that they can’t even meet. Someone said it best- black men are so much more judgmental towards me as their partner than white men are. I always feel like I can be myself more with white men because they aren’t constantly negging me or trying to disprove my experience. White men who are open to being with a black women typically find us beautiful with no real comparison to how “we’re supposed to be”. Which is freeing. Anyways. My 2c.

@@clarkkent2005 Because one scenerio the woman is being idolized and chosen simply because the color of her skin and in addition the lowest class of such are widely accepted by the said men and sought sorely for superficial reasons and her ability to give birth to children of highly minimized ethic features. The class groups that marry can span classes but mostly lower class women that are low value in her community. The second set tend to be middle and upper class relationships that have gotten together for compatibility reasons and are the same class. Also, there is more traditional values in the man of the second set that causes him to gain more respect and submission from a woman. The first mentioned often despises the responsibility of manhood and compares himself to women rather than men and more often embraces a female sole provider which causes women to contempt and disrespect them.

I admit that I’ve gotten more disapproving looks from BM and WW when with my husband who also happens to be white. I used to be bothered by it 9 years ago but I couldn’t care less now. I love my husband wholeheartedly and I’m crazy about our beautiful kids. Some people can be pretty hateful but don’t let that stop you from finding happiness in this life. My husband was told by a WW that she was mad at him because he “swapped” her for a BW and a BM was bold enough to tell me that my WM wouldn’t know how to “please me” and that the WM used to rape BW. I considered this BM a friend but had to cut our friendship when he went as far as belittling my husband after I told him we were expecting our 1st child. The beauty standards are changing and it’s good to see more BW realizing their worth and knowing that they can be loved and respected just as much as any blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty. My motto in life is to never let hate or fear stop you from showing love and being kind. So with all due respect to the brothers, go get your man, sis…whatever race he may be!

It was mostly coercion and sexual abuse and rape between white men and black women. White men do not love black women or even like black women. Lust maybe. But real love? Forget it.
