The Dwarves are never depicted as _'living in a cave.'_ They live in a cottage in the forest. The "cave" is a mine, in which they dig for gems. So true. The content they’ve been pushing out is VERY low-effort and doesn’t do anything interesting/good to build upon the originals. Combine that with the sequels and lackluster original films, and Disney has lost a LOT of good faith from its audience. As it stands, Encanto may be one of the last good Disney films. @@mrroboshadow The Beauty & The Beast remake did actually add new stuff to the original story that worked well. Maleficent had a neat twist in which she ends up being Aurora's Fairy Godmother. The first Jungle Book remake was reimagined into a Tarzan/Indiana Jones-esque adventure while the second JB remake sees Mowgli remain with his animal friends instead of being with his fellow humans like in the original story. Not all the Disney remakes are awful, most are but there are some good ones.

There's no problem with hiring real people vs. CGI characters I feel, but when you make a project like this you have to commit to one or the other because you then waste budget. CGI characters I feel can offer an extra layer of the fantastic, if you build it like the classic Iron Giant or something. Don't know where the robot comes from at the end of the day or how it operates but it stays committed to blending in with humans and helping them at the end of the day.

The movie already appears to be extremely fake and mismatched with the live action elements being in a massive contrast to the CGI elements. That then made sure that he won't face competition for roles when those actors that lost out of being seen by the public are ignored in future roles. Germanic fairytales were heavily influenced by Gothic mythology, which was influenced by Nordic mythologies, and often included ‘Nordic’ creatures such as what we in modern day call ‘trolls’, ‘goblins’, ‘elves’, and ‘dwarves’. The dwarves in Snow White were never specified as being ‘dwarves’, but since they share a lot of traits with other mythical entities of the same nature (living in seclusion, living near a mountain - a ‘spiritual’ place, etc.) they were probably some form of mythological dwarf rather than a human eith dwarfism

Their expenses are rising much faster than their revenue due to all of their failures, which is why they still haven't even recovered to 2009 levels of profit. Sure, they can sustain losses for awhile but it's clear that they're a failing company with little to no prospects of growth in the future.

The other thing is, people with dwarfism are people too. They can talk and communicate! So why didn't Disney do what other companies do? Have a sit down meeting with the actors with dwarfism and ask them how they can more fairly protray the characters, let the actors have a little more freedom with boundaries. It would've been a load better than just saying "Well that's one guy's opinion, and that's how this whole group feels about it!" And they didn't even listen to the criticism to begin with. So, Gal Gadot being beautiful as the Evil Queen does make sense, but Disney's Makeup Department's got a lot of makeup work to do on Rachel Zegler to make her look more beautiful than Gal Gadot, or to make Gal Gadot less beautiful than Rachel Zegler by a little.
