Exactly the application of pedals I came to. My amp is a 1990 Marshall JTM45 1962 model Bluesbreaker reissue, basically a copy of the classic Fender Bassman - big clean sound. Boss Turbo pedal, low gain, on all the time as a preamp and other pedals to tweak the sound. High gain tube amps just compress too much. Thinking of getting back to playing again, my stuff's in storage. Find myself watching videos like this and it feels like about time I got back into it.

Great video. Love my D20 ( purchased after watching your demo in 2020). It's been a phenomenal tool, live and in the studio. I appreciate these videos of you working with the D20. Cool to hear how the Tilt interacts with the amplifier w/ a clean sound dialed sans gain boost. Even more intrigued by this pedal. Thanks Shawn

Thanks a ton! Watching you adjust the pedal to get different sounds was pretty amazing. I have a new respect for the Tilt overdrive.

So much important information in this video, Shawn! I'm a Canadian and have a Tilt OD in the mail! I'm excited to see how it's going to fit in with my rig. The Pettyjohn Tone Deluxe LTD is my always on buffer/boost at the end of my chain, and I use Stephen's various drives to get different flavours from the pedals instead of, as you say, various gain levels, playing through a 1967 Bassman with the piggyback 2x12 cab loaded with EVM12L and I vastly prefer this approach over the increasing gain level approach that I employed before. It's cool that you have the same philosophy!

Awesomeness…it’s now on my Thomann wish list..as are a couple Revv amps 👍🏻

Wow that's an amazing variation of semi-clean tones. Allows for some nice options like gain staging.

Got the Tilt a couple of days ago, super impressed so far. It replaced 3, if not 4 various OD and boost pedals on my board. Works really great into a Boogie Fillmore, shaping that Fender-y sound into all kinds of directions similar to what you did in this video. Loving it, well done!

As always great information and tones! Shawn could you please mix your voice a little louder on the videos? I find when I have your voice loud enough the guitar parts make the walls shake 😂... not that that's a bad thing...

I kind of do that often with my Wampler Dual Fusion. I use the Euphoria side as an alternative sound without a ton of gain and control volume/gain with my hands and guitar volume control. This gives a different tone and a bit more or different response. I do this kinda thing with a Lovepedal Amp 11 also. That Tilt overdrive pedal is interesting.

Bought the pedal awhile ago. Nice to know how much you can do with other sonically in my studio. Cheers and thanks!

It might be my lack of experience but I need to hear a song or a melody to appreciate the value of the (a) pedal. Perhaps you could do demos as you some times create great intros to illustrate the possibilities of your Tilt?

Hey Shawn Alfred here! Sounds great man. I watched the live stream last week looked like you guys were having fun! Question for you. On this demo is the volume and tone on the guitar all the way up? Or do you roll them off a bit?
@ShawnTubbs2 жыл бұрын
Hey Alfred, the volume is wide open on the guitar. Thanks for the question!

Hi Shawn, I love your videos and your amazing playing. I have a question, when using the IR's into ProTools are you going through a mic-pre in your interface or one that is external to your interface and then into Pro Tools?

So when your tone is a bit hairy and ya need a trim or if’n ya tone is high n tight but cha want a bit more of a shaggy sound?

Yep, all of that!

Is there an amp that already does this by itself without a pedal? Maybe just by boosting the volume knob of the amp? I always wondered about Always On boost pedals because sometimes I feel like it's the same as just boosting the amp volume. Correct me if I"m wrong please

Hi Shawn i would like to use my Revv d 20 with my hx stomp with two notes ir s,,, how would you connect the stomp? 4cm? Thanks
@ShawnTubbs2 жыл бұрын
I would use the HX Stomp to the front of the D20 first and see how you like it. I only use the 4 cable method when I'm using an amp for "channel gain" for example the G20 as opposed to a clean pedal platform amp like the D20. Thanks for the question.
