I loooooved your wedding. Nothing cringey! You both were adorable! Jeremy you spoke that way because you were wanting Mr Duggar to take you seriously and I think it was sweet. I have said it before-the perfect wedding. Jinger your father said “you are stunning” when he came to pray with you with your mom-he was correct. You were glowing.

I’d love to hear you guys talk about how you handle theological / scriptural differences with family in a graceful and peaceful manner ❤ Sometimes the “stronger” someone’s faith is, the more “dug in” their beliefs can become (even if it’s a misapplication of scripture) and I don’t like the combative tone that those conversations can take on. I would love to hear your perspective on how you’ve navigated it over the years. Congratulations on your anniversary! ❤

I’d 100% would love to see you guys react to the full season of your courtship! That was literally one of the best seasons of the show because your happiness was contagious! Does anyone remember back when this season of 19KaC premiered, and TLC did a “babe” counter with Jinger and Jeremy as like a bonus feature? I also specifically remember Joy making fun of Jinger on a camping trip because Jinger was missing Jeremy so much and was upset that she had bad cell reception in the forest. It was adorable!

Suggestion: you could have a "pretend" wedding and let your girls be part of it. My daughter and son in law did this with their children for Valentine's Day one year. They let their daughter, who was 6 years old, plan it. Everyone got dressed up One of their sons was the "preacher" (he was 4 years old) and his twin brother was the "ring bearer". The vows went something like "Daddy do you love Mommy" and "Mommy do you love Daddy". It was all so simple, but the kids loved it!

Now I do recall a camping trip i thought it was supposed to be Janna, Jessa, and yourself. I can not remember if Jill was there or not. I don't believe so. They did not think you would make it. By the way, I agree with you about the vow renewals. When my late husband and I got married on August 15, 1981, we meant our vows. There was no need to renew them because we meant them the day we were married. Also, by the way, now that Jana was married on August 15 she and Stephen share the same anniversary as my late husband and I. I hope they are half as happy as we were.

I don’t mind seeing animals in zoos or on the TV, and some dog pictures are very cute… but I do not have the pet gene. I have literally zero desire to have any pets of any kind and I’m not really a fan of going to homes that have them. Doesn’t help that I’m afraid of most dogs. I love animals - just not too close to me. 😂

How it all felt how long did it take till it all felt normal Something like that. Nowadays so many people (try the milk before they buy the cow) if you know what I mean. So it would be interesting to hear from you all who waited for marriage to be intimate and live together that it's a good way to go

There are different thoughts on the unity candle. You can leave the individual candles lit to signify that you are still individuals along with being a couple. We left ours lit in my wedding in 1988.
@emmib138819 күн бұрын
But you are no longer individuals in a Christian wedding.. two have become one. That is why it is a unity candle 🕯
@cherylwallace121917 күн бұрын
@emmib1388 We will have to agree to disagree. Just because you are married, you do not lose your individuality. My wedding definitely was a Christian wedding. We only had 7 years 3 months married as he passed away. That was almost 30 years ago. My daughter was 4 and my son was 2.5 months old. They are 33 and 29 now. You can't lose your individuality, you never know the future. Have a blessed day.

What happened with the orange tabby cat that you had in Laredo? My shoes for my wedding were light green. I had died them for a wedding that I was in previously and they refused to dye them white after that. My dress was floor length so it didn’t matter at all. But I didn’t wear a wedding dress because none of them would fit me. I was so small when I got married that my wedding dress was actually from the flower girl section of David’s bridal. I bought it and wore it off the rack. It did not need any alterations. Later, I took my wedding dress to a charity that I volunteered for that made christening gowns out of wedding dresses and they were used for ultra premature babies like Josie so some of them were actually burial gowns. The charity is called Threads of Love.
