Well, if serial numbers don't matchup with the one stored in iPhone, face id won't work. If u wondering why we just can't rewrite, that chip in face id module isn't rewritable nor copied.

Essentially you’re only replacing the cable and removing mosfet and replacing with a jumper wire? The copy machine is only saving the data and not rewriting onto anything new?

@@ifixsmartphone9079 thanks I did see that in the beginning but curious how it writes data to a cable without any ic chip on it. I’ve checked the website and all their flex cables I do not see any ic chips on them. I guess I’m really asking if it’s something that could be done without the programmer. Looks like you’d be able to do the same repair on the original flex cable by removing the module/solder and renewing the solder pads and reheat back together. Just like it’s done with a corroded proximity sensor on iPhone X and up.

can you tell me how i can find out the truedepth serial? I have 1 iphone 12 pro with damaged face id, the original old flex was cut without the connector piece. I took the projector off, I put it on the new flex, I took off the little piece and made the jumper. ok I read in the JCID everything Normal. so it doesn't have the serial and it doesn't work on the cell phone. Is there any way to find out the serial to be able to record on the new flex?
