So mean about Maxwell Caulfield. I thought he was great and that they had nice chemistry. Their brief discussion before 'Cool Rider' and the diner scene worked well.

Oh, Maxwell was..just..he was completely dreamy. Like, hearkened back to the teen idols of the past. And yes, I think he not only had great chemistry with Michelle, but with the rest of the cast, as well. LOVED his scenes with the T-Birds, exchanging homework for money. Particularly Adrian Zmed/Johnny! 😅 This movie is a treasure, hit all the right notes/Pat Birch did a wonderful job!

Damn... Allan Carr threw some MAJOR shade at Maxwell Caulfield. Allan actually lobbied hard for Maxwell to get the part in Grease 2. He was trying to backtrack and play the blame game after the movie flopped.

In my opinion I think that grease it didn’t need a sequel it was fine on its own and grease 2 the story line wasn’t that good then the first one and the actors wasn’t at fault, so I blame Alan Carr for the flopped on sequel

agree . Carr or Stigwood ( whatever ) was nasty towards Caulfield . Granted he is no Travolta but he was HOT AF in Grease 2 and I thought Michelle and him had very good chemistry togther .They are stuning to look at togther . Its ridiculous to blame Grease 2's failure to live up remotely to GREASE on Maxwell or to compare The cheistry of Michelle & Max to ONJ & Travolta . NO Couple in cinematic History comes close to captuting the out of this world chemistry the one an only Sandy & Danny had and no couple ever will . Anyhow I guess we can throw this Nasty Producer a bone though if It was Tom Cruise he wanted for the part . Cruise Like Travolta is in another leauge with Freaky Magical Starpower .. But Seriously Maxwell didnt deserve this level of nastiness .. I quite enjoyed watching him and Michelle Togther . However I suspect Patricia Birch the director should have stuck with Choreographing the dancing . The script and casting of secondary and small parts in Grease 2 was nowhere near as good as GREASE because GREASE was a Masterpiece on all levels .

I don't know why Michelle always looks so uncomfortable when someone brings up Grease 2. That movie has a huge audience in its own right and is not the flop people make it out to be.

It was a flop and critics ripped it apart. Every actor has that role that makes them cringe and Grease 2 is Michelle's.
@suzannek34932 жыл бұрын
I think the older she got the more she eased up. Somewhere i read her and Max did not exactlyget on like a house on fire. I think she found him full of himself at that time . She was probably right to some degree . I think he bought into the hype . I think he said he learned from Grease 2 not to believe the hype . Ironic that Michelle mentions this as well . No wonder poor Max was haunted by Michelles immediate rise to fame right after in Scarface .

The reason why it didn’t do so well, for one it was up against E.T. secondly they released too quickly after production was completed.

I thought Grease 2 was better than the original & thought Adrian Zmed was perfect as the lead T-Bird. I got to meet Adrian, he is not only a great actor but a super nice guy. Also loved Adrian on T.J. Hooker as well as many other shows. 1 show Adrian also done in Las Vegas they did NOT mention in this video was a Beach Boys musical called "Surf". It was also GREAT!!!!!! Would love to see Adrian come back into acting & make more movies & tv shows, he is 1 of the best actors

Guy was pretty hard on Maxwell. He was great in the movie, imo. Perfect for the role. Good actor, vibed well with that cast and his singing was good. I think the movie just didn't go over well because the style was a little too much 80's cheese, which turned people off who loved the original. Grease was a more polished, traditional classic musical. Grease 2 was just pure fun, which I actually like better than the original.
