From personal experience of banking loans, the signing over of the property on which a business operates is why someone said, "All property is theft", and the failure to plan for backups that we can trust is why crashes happen regularly, because banksters are planning to aquire property. (Supplementary data?) Australia once had an effective Department of Primary Industries that it was possible to get the range of advice about measuring some of the risks from. Ie the topic of the interview is great, but limited of course. We await the analysis and "Artificial" condensation of data by the next generation.

It's not all MMTlers with disvussable nations about exports and imports. Specifically Warrej Mosler highlights the actual material side of the export/import medall, over the financial side. It's basically not wrong. MMT does regard trade deficits correctly - to me humble knowledge about it

It's static trader thinking and, if I hadn't had 50 years experience of seeing people hang onto an illogical idea because the founder of a school of thought believed it, I'd be stunned that it ever achieved widespread acceptance. I've bitten my tongue about it in public so as not to damage MMT's rise to prominence, but it's got there now and I'm damned if I'm going to let such a simplistic fallacy continue.
