::: speechless ::: How did you begin to understand so many intricate aspects of RV assembly let alone the electrical system!?!?!???!???! Share your ways! You guys coming to Colorado?

Haha. I don’t know that I understand it all. But I have fun taking things apart and figuring out how they work. And I’ve had the privilege of learning from people who are very skilled at their trades. Colorado is definitely on our list. I have very fond memories of visiting there when I was younger. We like spending a good amount of time in the places we visit. So it may take us a while to get there. :) -Ryan

Made sense to me Ryan! But I'm still impressed by how you sleuthed through all that old work.

Yeah. I was pretty excited to see that they had a transfer switch in the electrical system. Most of the time they don’t bother.

This is exciting to watch!! :) Yeah, starting the generator off the house batteries is a bit more common that not. In our motorhome, starting the engine kicks a relay in the engine bay that directs the alternator to also charge the house batteries. So, in effect, when our house batteries have died and we've been unable to start the genny, we fire up the engine and wait a few minutes. Leave it running and the alternator will provide current to the house. Still - you guys are doing great work!!!

Hey Guys, I just purchased the exact same RV that you have and just found your channel. Ryan, Would it be possible to get a schematic of exactly how you wire your inverter system? Thanks,

I’ll see what I can put together. But I’m so behind on projects, no promises 😉

SWEEEET! I've got a 2003 expo diesel. The whole system is crap. Slow electrical leak killed my couch batteries twice. Gen wont start if the couch batts are low, pointless. Unable to disable either the main or coach batts, blows a fuse in the inverter compartment every time i try to use the switch. First year of ownership the toilet broke, the water pump went, coach batts dead, a fire under the sink cupboard floor from what SHOUILD have been a normal load. Second year, dead coach batteries again, BOTH furnaces broke due to plastic parts failing and had to use the stove for NY winter heating, The main AC started burning so that's been disconnected,, replaced the water heater, bathroom fan broke, roof delaminating so in the process of removing and replacing all the sealant. I can not afford this pos and it's my home. Main issue is being disabled, is VERY hard to do all the work myself.
