I recently bought a Rexing V1P plus dash cam and the current firmware on the dashcam is B50E0A.670.453.210610HC.01 .. I tried to update the firmware but the website said " input error". I really don't know if my Rexing dashcam has the latest firmware. Rexing should put the dascam models and the latest firmware on their website.

Thank you!! I had been trying to format the card without success but something you said helped and it worked finally after about 6 tries. Updating firmware is out of the question for me tho.

VIP MAX firmware comes with like 11 files and not one of them does anything - there is more than one BIN file. Firmware still has the 2021 firmware. I’ve had cheaper cameras that worked out of the box and were less frustrating than this.

can I ask why the v5 camera takes several hours to format the card that comes with it? it's an obscene amount of time.

Hey there, It shouldn't take more than a few minutes, you might not be using the correct SD card. Camera Requirements Class 10 / UHS-I or higher MicroSD/SDHC/SDXC Card Recommendations Kingston Canvas Go! MicroSD Kingston Canvas React MicroSD SanDisk High Endurance MicroSD NOTE: Please don't use SanDisk Ultra cards with our cameras.

Yeah. My firmware comes with 11 files inside the Zip archive. Copying all of these files on the SDCard does nothing. The dash cam (V1P Max) boots, and the firmware is still at the old (2021) version.

Using a v3 and got stuck in a reboot cycle since purchase. Switched the USB cord out with one from an ancient TomTom and that hasn't happened again, nor has it complained about my "cluster size" (which should be in a huge font on the packaging so I know what to tell WINDOWS to use on it)

What are the symptoms of why having to update the firmware? Would it show white screen thats what mine is doing.

Why is it that I cannot share my clips from my iPhone other than with Rexing, Facebook or Twitter? If I need to send it to my insurance, or someone else, why isn't there an option for that? The only way me to remove the SD card and do it manually with a PC other than sending videos from the phone app directly. This is something to consider adding to the app if you want to share footage on the site of an accident, either with law enforcement or someone else.

Hello, I had rexing firmware B50.2017.0301.V2.4 on my Rexing dash cam. I decided to update it and downloaded Rexing V1 2nd Generation Early Model Firmware (V1_Gen2Early_180125) from this site. Unfortunatelly something went wrong and my camera does not start. I have just standart Rexing logo on the screen and nothing else happens. Could you please advice what should I do?

After formatting mine just skips when I press version. Each time I press version nothing happens. Just same menu screen. I’ve been getting memory error a lot and this cam and 128 gigastone card are only 3 weeks old. My other Rexing dash cam and SD card work fine for the last 3 months which is why I purchased another one for a different vehicle. 🤦‍♂️ I’m stumped. Thanks

Hi, Rexing V1P: drawing after mirror→selected ON, screen on front camera is OK, but saved file (video) on memory card is not OK→video is on format OFF. What can I do? Thank you

Hi there, is the problem you are having that the video for the rear camera does not display as mirrored when you play it back, when it shows as being mirrored on the display?

On display front camera is picture from rear camera ok, but when i played video from rear camera on PC, mirrored is wrong. [sorry for my english :(]

No problem, I understand! The drawing after mirror setting actually mirrors the rear camera image on the front display, but it will not mirror the actual recorded video. This is done to make sure that license plates and everything else is displayed correctly.

My camera isn't looping properly. I thought it was recording for months and the last saved memory was 11/30/19. I just formatted and reset my camera. The SD card slot is difficult to put in.

I have my Rexing v1p dash camhardwired, do I have to turn off my dash cam manually each time turn off my car and leave?

If you hardwired it correctly, when you turn off your car and leave you should hear the dash cam make a chiming sound as it turns itself off. My problem is getting the dash cam to go into the park mode; it won't connect to the wifi.

My dashcam Rexing V1 has dark screen and won't be turned on after 12 months. It shows the blue on the OK button when It is connected to the power cord. Sad

Please charge your V1 in your home using a USB wall charger for 3 to 5 hours (connect the small USB cable to the charger). If that doesn't work try updating the firmware on your device. Let me know if this resolves the issue!

@@rexingusa thank for responding. I did charge overnight, but no luck at all. I copied the new firmware to the root folder in memory card. Pressing 5seconds on power button, release 5 seconds, then pressed 5 seconds, then release. Nothing is happened.

If the screen on the logo remains locked and you have the 1 gen1 version, you have the wrong firmware and you have to redo the procedure with this firmware: www.rexingusa.com/support/firmware/rexing-v1v1g-firmware/rexing-v1- hw1-firmware / The official website got me wrong by entering this B50.2017.0301.V2.4! Mine has no Menu settings. Only option's on my phone is Mass storage and PC storage. My Mic button is Red and so is the word Ok.Brand new out of the box. Can't format SD because there are no options. Help. As much money as I paid and cant get any help. When first turned on it does start showing the camera and then it stops and goes to the Mass storage and PC camera and after that I can switch between them and press any button and nothing happens except it stays at the Blue Mass storage and PC camera screen. Hammer.

Hi JBird, you most likely are using the incorrect memory card. Please check out the camera SD card requirements: Class 10 / UHS-I or higher MicroSD/SDHC/SDXC memory card up to 256GB (not included). My rexing camera works fine, it is hardwire akso but the biggest pain in my a%$ is this, the camera refuses to turn on wifi. I have try everything and yes I do turn off my data.

Has anyone figured out how to use this as a webcam? When I connect it to a PC I do see the option for PC camera but Windows 10 does not recognize it as a webcam or camera.

Sorry, I will have to give some negative feedback to Rexing Tech Team. Fortunatelly I figured out myself and could repair my camera. Let me try to explain how I did it. Rexing site www.rexingusa.com/support/firmware/rexing-v1v1g-firmware/ recommends Firmware V1_Gen2Early_180125 as an update to the firmware B50.2017.xxxx.xx.x . I initially had firmware B50.2017.0301.V2.4 on my Rexing dash cam I followed recommendations from site and downloaded recommended firmware. Then I followed written instruction from site and this video instruction, but update failed. I tried many times, but without success. I found and downloaded earlier version of firmware from Internet, tried to repeat firmware update, but without success again. Than I figured out that probably I am making some mistake - each time I copied firmware to SD card I formatted it in my computer, as my dashcam was not functioning after software update failure. In my email I clearly notified it to Rexing Team. I was hoping that they would advise some formatting parameters for SD card, so dashcam can «read» firmware from it. But unfortunatelly Rexing Team adviced me absolutely useless things, as "be sure that you are using a Rexing charger or hardwire kit", " be sure that the sd card you are using is at least class 10 and high endurance", "Please make sure firmware you are downloading is for V1 basic" " try another SD card" … Sorry I would say that competency of Rexing technical support personnel should be improved. Finally I went and formatted my SD card in the another Rexing dash cam which belongs to my friend. Then I tried to update Firmware to V1_Gen2Early_180125, it did not work again (honestly I was expecting it). Then I formatted my SD card in my friend’s Rexing dash cam again, copied to it earlier version V1_REXING_20160310 (downloaded from Internet) and ….. update worked perfectly! My dash cam is operational, with early firmware version, but it is better than nothing. I would recommend following: Review / repair Firmware V1_Gen2Early_180125 so it works as an update to B50.2017.0301.V2.4. Upodate installation instructions with CLEAR recommendation on formatting; a) SD card should not be formatted in the computer if software update failed OR b) Figer out and recommend formatting parameters if SD card needs to be formated in computer.

I'm trying to follow this process on my V1 but the firmware will not update. The only thing that appears to update are the two images included in the firmware file. My camera is version B50_655.2016.0813V1.1. The problem I'm having with the camera is it does not properly loop record. If I do a 60 minute drive it may loop record 1/3 of the drive. I was hoping a firmware update would correct the issues but I can't update the firmware. I've tried following your video multiple times but the camera does not recognize there is a firmware file on the SDCard. Help

Hey there, thank you for your question. It seems that you have a 1st Generation V1, so make sure you are downloading the correct firmware file. To access that file directly, visit this link: www.rexingusa.com/support/firmware/rexing-v1v1g-firmware/rexing-v1-hw1-firmware/. Also, have you checked to make sure you didn't disable Loop Recording in the Video Menu?
