Old Tourist Pocket Knife with Fork Restoration

Old tourist pocket knife restoration. In this video I showed the restoration of an old tourist pocket knife and fork. I do not know where and when this knife was made. This knife is similar to the Opinel knife. I think this knife was made in 1970-1980. I decided to restore this old knife. I removed the rust and polished the blade and fork, made a new handle from plum wood. I am satisfied with the restoration of the knife. I hope you liked my restoration.

Portuguese traditional pocket knife. Made by MAM likely. Years ago, it used to be a staple for agricultural workers, who used this for their lunch breaks in the fields and prety much every thing else. These are still made in Portugal although not used as much nowadays.

yes, the brand is MAM or Martins Palaçoulo, tipical souvenir from Portugal from the 90's

Looks like a Portuguese MAM, you still can buy them. Got one here in Spain I bought a couple years ago. Very useful specially if you go out with kids, that fork is little but a great idea. Good work repairing it.

Ottimo restauro, prevalentemente manuale, senza l'uso di strumenti troppo sofisticati ! Coltello molto carino e rustico, persino con apribottiglie. Mi chiedo soltanto come si possano usare contemporaneamente coltello e forchetta con una sola mano !!!

I could not find an exact match, but it seems to be a VERY early Boy Scout knife with fork. I found some similar to this but not with the wood. Knife blade with can opener and fork to eat the contents. A pocket camping knife.

agreed - the only one coming close. at first, i thought an old model of "messer solingen" (they do have a backstory of copying opinel and victorinox), but the MAM 1B or predecessor might be it...
