After seeing the movie and how phenomenal it was, I can say without a doubt that you are 100% correct about this theory. Rey and Kylo's love story/dynamic is a complete opposite and yet a complete echo or mirroring of Anakin and Padmes. It makes my Reylo heart happy to see this being fulfilled, especially since maybe the Skywalker family can finally be at peace with themselves and the conflict can end.

In TROS Ben transfers the remains of his life to resurrect Rey.Compassion is the unconditional love that his grandfather Anakin had told to his grandmother Padme in ep.2 And Ben made it true. He got humble,refused the hubris of the Jedi and the Sith and succeeded where Anakin had failed .

I like the idea that Anakin drained the life out of Padmé to keep himself alive. That gives the whole idea surrounding Palpatine's sentence a new twist: "He had such a knowledge of the dark side; he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying."

I just rewatched The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, and because of this video I noticed a couple of times when they mentioned “power couplings”! In Phantom Menace, one of the announcers at the pod race says “there goes the power coupling!” about one of the other racers, but now I feel like this line is meant to foreshadow Anakin and Padme’s relationship? Anakin winning the race really set his entire future with Padme in motion, since it results in him being freed. I also think the race is when he most starts to embrace his connection with the Force, based on Qui Gon’s advice. In Attack of the Clones, Obi-Wan tells Anakin “it’s dangerous near those power couplings, don’t go through there.” Also meant as a warning not to pursue his relationship with Padme? Anyway, thank you for creating such great videos and inspiring me to look deeper into these movies!

I really like the point you make here about Qui-Gon interfering with fate during the dice roll on Tatooine. I never really thought of it like that. We know that the Sith interfered with the natural flow of things in order to create Anakin. But the Jedis' interference with the natural flow of The Force goes unnoticed. It's quite poetic that in the end both the Jedi and the Sith are destroyed for trying to interfere with The Force. The Force ultimately belongs to neither the Jedi nor the Sith.

When I first learned that Anakin's was some kind of virgin birth, I thought it sucked. But now I realized that Kylo Ren said to his grandfather's mask that he will finish what he started, and his sword looks like a cross - symbol of horrible pain and death, but also of rebirth. Now it all makes sense. :-)
@carolineboer52186 жыл бұрын
Loved this video, although I feel like the end is a bit of a stretch. While I’d love to believe the writers had the intention of this full over arcing story and theme all along there’s no way I can give them that much credit. To sneak in such a minor line that hints to the story of a trilogy that would come out decades later written produced and directed by different people. More like a beautiful coincidence in my opinion
@ralucamalita6 жыл бұрын
Hello there! I also think you got it right. There is a scene, where Luke realises that Rey is behaving in such a manner that shows she is too familiar with Ach-To, and asks her about it, asks her who she is, tells her: "you've seen this island", "only in dreams", she replies, but what if these dreams are actual memories, since she was a baby, what if she was born on Ach-To? What if the pit calls her because it knows her, I don't know, I'm going too far. I would like thought to see your opinion on that scene in another video.

I love your videos, but one problem: The Force knocked up Anakin’s mom, the mother figure impregnating the mother figure. The Force had a dong at one point or another haha. In all seriousness, I think that, like the Force itself being seperated into two polarities, it isnt just one gendered, motherlly focus and covers both feminine and masculine traits, to heal, to create yet also to destroy and control. If the universe itself is of a feminine focus, the Force is an alien element all on its own in comparison to ‘reality’ or what is considered mundane, being of definitively ethereal stature and easily disrupts the natural equilibrium of both environments and individuals.

I doubt that she's padme I think its in reverse ben is padme living through anakin's choices in his first life I.E ben feeling like he's a monster as a child and his parents being afraid of him to the point of sending him to Luke in TLJ Novel . mirrors anakin getting sent to the Jedi and how the younglings and most masters treated anakin and Rey is anakin living through a mix living through padme's choices I.E Luke thinking that she comes from royalty and how Leia gives everything her family's status , her clothes and belongs if she ends up dying to Rey the only thing thats a problem with this is anakin's lightsaber if Rey is anakin and anakin gave his lightsaber to padme in the this weapon is my life scene in TCW then it should call to ben if he was padme but it calls to Rey we could say she's padme and be done with it but its the kyber thats calling to Rey Anakin got that Kyber cyrstal in the gathering the kyber crystal has always belonged to anakin we know the crystals have their own will as they messed with the Death Star in tarkin and the kyber that Vader bleed for his lightsaber fought him so the kyber might want to be with its true owner again in Rey it splitting and ben calling it in TLJ makes this part murky

To be absolutely honest, that interpretation of star wars as the modern myth is not valid at all for the sequels. That time has passed away. Its just an insanly milkable brand now that will never match up to any of the 6 moves before it, its all out there for fast paced mass consumption now.

after watching this i think i have done good to do not watch anything of star wars after the lase jedi, and i dont think you undestand nothing to the force, the force is about religion that god or the god powers dont have gender or a agenda, after the purge of the jedi the force is still unbalanced, there is the sith and the inquisitors, aprentices of the dark side, so the dark is more powerfull than the light, and after this there is more jedi than sith becouse the sith are extinc, the profecy is finished, the sith is erradicaded but the fight of light versus darkness inside everyone still continues..
