I know Leda since I discovered his band before he entered Kami Band, Deluhi. Unfortunately the band disbanded just close to April's fool 2010. So glad he finally found his place working with Kami Band and of course, with Kami band affiliated with Babymetal, that makes him finally get to taste performing on such big venues, which frankly is what he deserves

Although the world wide success of Babymetal center around the girls fronting the band, there is no Babymetal without the Kami Band. What I mean is that their arrangements are as unique, different and superbly crafted that just putting teenage girls to sing metal would have not been enough if the supporting arrangement were not tailored to strike the balance needed to support and elevate the front end. Just saying, that is I appreciate getting to know these virtuosos. Thanks for this video.

To add perspective, the teenage girls were not simply "put to sing". They had had years of training and education (pretty clear in Sue's vocal technique) and still receive extensive training (try to do one of the YuiMoaMomo's choreographies and see if you can finish a full concert). So, just to add nuance, Amuse did not just "put the girls to front". The producer has always been a metal fan and took things seriously from the beginning.

I know you said "active" members but I think it's a shame you totally omitted Mikio Fujioka, although he has passed away. He was by far one of the most important Kami of guitar. You should have made at least an honorable mention in his memory and honor.

Ada beberapa yang bilang kalau west kami lebih baik daripada east (japan) kami band, ada yg bilang lbh beratlah, lebih metal lah, dll. Tapi buat aku sama sama aja sih.. malah "Arkadia" yg metal banget itu musiknya, gitarnya malah Leda Cygnus ikut berperan dalam pembuatan musiknya, blm lagi bass nya RoR, dia ikut berperan, dll. Iya sih, style yg west kami ini kelihatan lebih sangar krn badannya lbh besar dan lebih tinggi, tangan berbulu dan tatto 😅 pokoknya lbh sangarlah tampilannya dan gaya menggebuk drum nya (Anthony) kelihatan lebih semangat juga ya ditunjang dengan bahunya yg lbh berisi, tapi buat aku output nya sama sama bagus, sama sama berat. Tapi satu hal istimewa dari east kami band ini adalah chemistry nya dengan Babymetal bagus sekali.. itu masalah jam terbang memang dan itu yg tidak bisa diimbangi 😊 Dan satu lagi east Kami Band di konser Metal Galaxy, ekstra show (Day 1) gila kayak apa coba musiknya, padahal mereka mainkan lagu2 Babymetal yg "light side" loh.. yg lbh ceria, lebih ringan.. tapi musiknya?? Wow wow.. 👏👏

If there's one thing to be said about Baby Metal, is they have been pretty consistent with the quality of music. I know there's been changes to the band, but who was ever behind this idea works very hard to keep it a reality. And deservingly so. I mean, who's idea was it to have choreography with every song? Don't care your 13, no lip syncing either. wo thumbs up for keeping it honest and being about the music. "Karate" is a kick ass metal song, period.

I had no Idea Chris and CJ local guys my band has played with are in freakin Baby Metal now, that's crazy. We played with Alustrium Chris's main Philly band a handful of times he's incredible. I knew he was in Ice Nine Kills at one point but had no idea he joined Baby Metal.

I miss these guys so much. Babymetal isn't by any means bad with the kami "cover band", as I often refer to them, but they also do NOT hit the same anymore. When you listen to the Babymetal studio album you think "wow that's great!". Then you listen to them live and forget all about the studio albums as they are bland in comparison. The Kami Band just breathed that much life into the music. All of them, not just the squad that played the most shows. Meanwhile, to me, The Other One album sounds better instrumentally than any of the live performances do. Not to mention every time the 'west' kamis play any of the pre Metal Galaxy songs.... They always sound off or fall just short when they attempt any kind of flourish The Kami band provided in all their live performances. But then the Kami Band was never meant to be anything other than a backtrack performed by people instead of a recording. We weren't intended to fall in love with them. But they are all so great so how could we not? Now Amuse has exactly what they wanted. A backtrack performed by nameless, faceless ironically cheap western labor. Up to their best standards but falling far short of the great musicians that earned the name Kami.

Mikio Fujioka was such an important part of this band. Maybe even one of the reasons why Yui left. As they both loved to star gaze and Mikio helped her with her guitar playing. Even though technically it's Moa who has more the Guitar background. Mikio was my favorite Kami member & the reason in part i became a fan. Still great to see the band showcased here though. I wish they would return as i prefer them over Kami West in most cases. Although they are doing better as of late. :)

I'm not a racist and the "western Kami band" members are highly skilled, but I prefer all Japanese members in Kami band because I like to think Babymetal as a Japanese metal band. I personally believe Japanese Kami band had more emotional connect with audience as well as with the girls. Western Kami band is more like just a business.
