I second that. RG was all class when he came to the Ravens. For a guy of his profile, he was a consummate professional, seamlessly blended into the team, and exuded so much enthusiasm despite where he was in his football career at the time. Absolutely, he's a brilliant analyst...he's a natural. The Ravens flock loves you RG, keep doing your thing!!!

I remember how much fun it was to be cheering for RG3 in the 4th quarter during that 2019 run because it meant Lamar had already balled his way out of the game. lol. I have SO much respect for the absolute professional that RG3 was in his time in Baltimore. We were so lucky to have him.

@@darrelle9426 Flacco probably cost the Ravens multiple super bowls, but the year they won in 2012, defense was already over the hill and Flacco absolutely carried the team in the playoffs en route to winning the SB. His numbers were crazy. It's not true that he never made the playoffs again...went to playoffs in 2014, beat Steelers in the wild card game and lost a close divison game, 35-31, at New England.

I appreciate you RG3. You got thrown into a tough situation in Washington, put it all on the line, and took that organization to places it hadn't been in a long time and hasn't been able to reach since you left. In my opinion you still don't get the recognition you deserve. Salute from Baltimore.

Lamar has the potential to dominate this game in a way we really have never seen before. We see this in basketball with only the highest echelon of players. In football, I think it's become increasingly obvious its only really mahomes and jackson at the very top of the mountain.

RG3 definitely mentored Lamar. Flacco DID NOT. It was only at the very end of that season, that Joe gave Lamar a helpful hint during one of the very last games. And it was only for the cameras. Flacco knew he would never be the starter again, so he was trying to look like a mentor, in order that another team would pick him up. The Broncos fell for it. Maybe you know what happened after that. The Broncos got rid of him. You apparently never watched one of Joe's interviews when he was a Bronco or when he was a Jet. He stated more than once that he had zero interest in helping out the younger QBs. EDIT: Here's one of the interviews: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWGwlnaAeLaId8k

For years now I’ve always said (I honestly don’t even know if it’s true at all or not) “RG3 is not only there to help teach Lamar how to play. But how not to play. Not to take unnecessary risks, feel like it is all up to you. That’s how RG3 kept hurting himself…” no idea if that played a hand at all. But that’s how I have always seen it. And it is greatly appreciated dude.

Facts. I've been a Ravens fan since Flacco took us to the Super Bowl, but I only really started paying attention to things when Lamar came around. I figured RG3 played a vital role in Lamar's development, but to hear the praise coming from RG3 for Lamar is amazing. It sucks that RG3 didn't get a ring or enjoy more success than he did, but I'm glad he ended up with the Ravens.

That full support makes ALL the difference early on in a NFL QB's career and escalation. You certainly were not afforded that in any way. But, it all works for good. You gave Washington one of the funnest, most exciting years in their recent history. And nothing has come close to that since that time. You were the Lamar for the Skins. Too bad they were not as wise as the Ravens were with Lamar and giving him the proper opportunity to transition to the Pro's the way he played in college.

Love this team and Lamar will get that Super Bowl he promised in Jesus name 🙏💪

THE BEST post season run. As much as I thought he was hurting the team by expense and he was never really being elite. The transcendent nature of that post season can't be denied. Now Lamar he is transcendent as an athlete. He was already as good as 08 Joe was as a pure passer the his sophomore professional season no dual threat quarterback has ever been as dual-y of a dual threat quarterback. He can't crank it rainbow trajectory like Joe or even Mike Vick but he is only one tier below in raw power and he has touch pass skills Vick admits is way better than he ever could on his best days x2. The only things Lamar could truly have said to be lacking was purely teachable things and seeing his stylistic transition is going well I no longer think longevity is an issue. Every single one of the games he was putting in hard work in the film room he reduces the opponent to as. He had a slump if you can even call it that was he learned to read defenses and he wasn't fast at it yet. Prior to him learning the intellectual aspect he had the advantage that not reading is faster than the fastest read and it made him unpredictable also he had the benefit of being underrated. The game has slowed down to him, and now the conventional play style is easy because now his freakish skills is extra credit bugging out is now a plan C with plan B reliability. He does need to make sure he tailors his thought process to the specific defense at hand and he is doing that more often than not already and even undeniable guys have a defense totally blow their minds tactically at times sometimes a game is like rock paper scissors when the kind of skill is more relevant than the amount of skill.

Special kudos for giving Joe Flacco justice. Casual observers who aren't familiar with the pre-Lamar Ravens could easily think Joe was basically a puny and selfish QB, as most of what fans - and, indeed, often (self-proclaimed) "analysts" - said about him was how he wasn't "it" anymore and how he didn't seem to be willing to mentor either Lamar or Drew Lock in Denver...
