Not only is he one of the baddest guitar players, he played on MTV Unplugged with one of my all time favorite bands, Stone Temple Pilots, right when they were rising stars. So cool!

I don’t understand why more guitarists don’t want unique sounding guitars. I have currently have 7 electrics and as a deliberate choice, they each have a completely different sound from all the others. It’s weird to me that so many people will have half a dozen of the exact same type of guitar.
@markstewart8171Сағат бұрын
Yea I'm with you on that they are tools and wants 10 sawzaws, or 10 shovels etc unless you have 3 people using the tools at the same time then you need many of the same tools, even then though with music, you want each of you to have different style guitars so it mixes well.

I have watched Shaun's video's for a while now. The thing i like most about him is he replyed to a comment of mine and i really wasn't expecting it. Very approachable and not an ounce of stuck upedness, if that's a word. From an Ozzie cover/church band guitarist, i respect humility, and he has it in droves. Nice to hear a bit about his guitars, but also his random acts of guitar destruction and forgetfulness etc. Great interview. I do feel that first guitar would be close to having a strat with 3xP90's in it. I have loaded a frankinstrat with JJ's pick up P90 simulcast pickups and they give me this kind of tone but look like normal single coils. Anyway, Thanks for the cool video Robert.

I have an 90’s USA Schecter hellcat with original neck and a stop tail. And it’s also the guitar I have longer. I bought it late 90’s and it’s so perfect in so many levels. It has a thing on its own and it’s a keeper just because of it. Happy to see another one around. Used to love the original knobs but mines are gone

There weren't many "new" guitars like that one back in the 90's. It's a keeper for sure.

I hate it when guitarists are exponentially better than me. He's fuckin great. I ran over my guitar once too (hard to admit because that was my only guitar at the time..d'oh)...if it had been a gig bag, nite nite...it broke the case, but the guitar was amazingly unscathed. One of those guitars I should never have sold. Still gets me. I'm hard on my guitar gear

@ Thanks, Shawn. Do you have approach advice for a retired pro musician who wants to learn guitar? I was a pianist ( jazz, rock, pop, classical). I want to use my time wisely, but a lot of courses out there for people who don’t know much about theory. I’m kind of lost on where to start. Any help would be appreciated! Love your playing man!
