Meraxes only died because of freakish luck- the scorpion bolt impaled her eye and thus damaged her brain in while she was high up in the air. Dragon skin is damn tough, it would have done no damage to her had it hit anywhere else on her body. Qyburn’s scorpion poked Drogon but obviously didn’t hurt him significantly. The scorpion attack from GOT S8… we don’t talk about that.

There was a theory that she survived the fall and was nursed back to health by some dornish people since Dorne is known for respecting warrior women but not long after Aegon and Visenya burned the kingdom to the ground, known as the "Dragon's Wrath" as a way to avenge their fallen sister but Rhaenys got caught in fire and was forced to die a slow death.

I think the Dance had more potential due to the fact even the books aren't 100% accurate due to the Dance being documented much later by Maesters, some who are biased, others not as knowledgeable on everything that happened. So the writers had a lot with GRRM to work with. The Conquest, while also cool to imagine, is more documented so maybe they wanna save that for the last story, sort of poetically.

They did the Dance cause it’s more ambiguous and less known, as well as less risky, cause if they did the Conquest, we know a big chunk of the community would say that it was unnecessary cause the ending is already known. Reviving GOT would have been harder and more pressuring than it already was.

Another tricky thing about the conquest is that it gets very repetitive. When you break it down it’s Aegon and the sister wives burning shit down over and over again. The budget and resources needed for aegons conquest would also be insane since it’s like, non stop dragons burning shit down… I wish they made well animated GOT content in the artstyle of arcane or a well done anime…

@@corbans5796 Well I also meant the original GOT. With HOTD... too much changes and not for the better. Too much irl political agendas put into it. Time jumps were just plain painful. The whole series is washed up and lacks identity. Even music got repetitive. On top of that it is prequel. Everyone knows how it ends and what will be after the end. Nothing of it matters and considering how it ended it is hard to watch. Actors are amazing that is and always was the main strenght of the frachise.

I do believe in the theory of Rhaenys surviving the fall and being nursed back to health by the dornish, only to be unintentionally killed by her siblings during the dragons wrath. Maybe that was what Aegon read in that letter (he didn’t dare to tell Visenya as it would be a great pain to bear the knowledge of killing their own sister), and it would also explain why Rhaenys’ body was never returned as it turned to ashes.

Visenya maybe a better warrior than her brother but she encouraged her son's wrong doings and usurping of the throne. It was also rumored that she poisoned King Aenys, her nephew so that she could put her own son to the throne. Rhaenys wasn't much of a warrior like her two siblings but she's one of the best dragon rider and was loved and adored by the small folk and the realm.
