I don’t understand track fans sometimes, there’s an analyst and anti-doping guy Orion Coaching on Twitter trying to imply Adeleke is doping. She’s 49.20 sprinter, and we know from Usain Bolt, Michael Norman, and Wayde Van Niekerk 400m talent is a could precursor to success in the sprints, Adeleke was a 11.3B runner -- which is talented, and was a member of 2 collegiate record 4x100m teams. With a literal hurricane behind her, how is running 10.84 suspicious? The worst thing to happen to sports is people think doping can just give you talent, no amount of doping would make you Usain Bolt, Michael Jordan, or Novak Djokovic. What makes great athletes special can’t come from a bottle.

I've heard some absurd things in the past, but the remarks circulating now truly take the cake. Rhasidat Adeleke won fair and square. Not because she's tall and has a big sail and the wind grabbed a hold of her or because the rest took it easy. In the lead-up to the Olympics, top athletes don't hand their rivals any advantages, especially not to the rising stars who pose serious competition. They ruthlessly crush threats and undermine them psychologically Anyone who eased off during that race knew they couldn't win, so they deliberately slowed down to save face afterward, to defend themselves in post race interview, claiming they weren't giving it their all. But that's nonsense. There are 2 outcomes from this race. 1. They now recognize Adeleke as a formidable opponent. 2. She's only going to get faster. Bring it on Adeleke!!😃😃😃😃
@chanler8046

Julien Alfred did not have a good race. She also did not even do her routines at the start of the race. These people train together, I am sure that has happened before. Julien Alfred is a beast and she is going to prove that to them.
@garylaird1134
@garylaird1134 3 ай бұрын
@@chanler8046 Indeed, Alfred's performance left much to be desired. She may seem powerful, but she's more like a sluggish beast struggling to get going at the starting line. In contrast, Adeleke is so stream-like, moves with such fluidity that she hardly disturbs the air as she races. If Adeleke manages to bolt off the start line and extends her stride, they'll be hunting her down at the finish line but I don't think they will catch her.
@chanler8046
@chanler8046 3 ай бұрын
@garylaird1134 sluggish beast? It is the first time I am hearing a sluggish beast, not making it to world championship finals. Shas a fast reaction time, hence the reason,she always plays it safe with her start. Go show em Julien! Adeleke who? One race ! You maybe did not see the 200m race before, when Alfred won. Also, please check the definition of sluggish.
@Myelbaby
@Myelbaby 3 ай бұрын
You must have not seen Shericka Jackson purposely being slow last season and being defeated on numerous occasions, only to go into the world championships to win the 200m and placing second in the 100m. So yes, there is something called deliberately running slow. Sometimes athletes use races just to work on their start or whatever else they need to work on.
@garylaird1134
@garylaird1134 3 ай бұрын
@@chanler8046 Yes, she was sluggish off the start. Please tell no - one is disagreeing with that. And half way through when she knew she didn't have a hope of winning she took her foot on the gas. This is the problem. If she's as formidable as you suggest-unbelievably fast-why not unleash her full speed and demonstrate that even with a poor start, she has the capability to outpace Adeleke? Yet, she didn't. It became apparent to her midway that the race was a lost cause. I suspect the competition will be much tighter than anticipated by many.

The wind holds no bias. If we go by your reasoning, everytime there is a hurricane wind the taller athletes would be propelled forward and win most of the time. That's not the case though. There are so many factors. What is most impressive is that she got out of the blocks with or slightly ahead of the much shorter DAS and Julien Alfred.
