The Japanese cleaner thingy works more like a tank or bobcat/bulldozer track than a scraper... the outer layer of the scraping bit is a microfiber of some sort and it is fixed on the top side so the fabric rolls from under to the top of the scraper as the scraper protrudes (I'm sorry not the greatest explanation, I know). This allows the fabric to roll up and pull particles along with it as the scraper protrudes forward, and by reversing the process it lays the particles right back down. Just think of it as the over-under edge of a conveyer belt.

links first idea, about just sticking your head in the shower, i used to do something similar in the mornings before school. i had to get up early to catch the bus, and my bathroom only had a tub, no shower. and being up so early in the morning, i really didnt feel like taking a bath. they seem to take longer then showers. so every morning id wake up, turn my bathroom sink on, wait for the warm water to heat up, then just shove my head in the sink and wash my face, and wash my hair, then give it a quick towel dry, then go change into real clothes for the day, throw on some deo and some body spray, and be on my way lol. for making cleaning fun, i used to crank up the tunes!

I'm with Link. Head and pit showers for the win. I used to do them when I didn't work in heavy labour, but when I became a construction worker I had do full body showers daily. I now work with the public daily so I ensure I have full body showers as well, but on weekends the hell with full body showers. Such a waste of water and soap.
