I know other people have said this, but saying Rhino is an Ubuntu killer is like saying Ubuntu is a Debian killer And with regards to the rolling release yet stable, the award goes to OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. Automated testing including GUI & window rendering from a common base, which the stable releases are then made from. Having something based on a devel branch just makes it experimental tbh.

I've actually been daily driving rhino for over a year now. All of the features are excellent, but rolling release ubuntu is much scarier than rolling release Arch. Every other time I update, most of my apt packages break because I have software meant for different ubuntu editions. I have both Jammy Jellyfish and Focal? I think? I can't find any support articles for these issues because Rhino is the only rolling release Ubuntu distro and very few people use Rhino. The root cause for the issue may be due to my own incompetence, but I vaguely remember it being because I HAD to get software from one version of ubuntu for Steam and for a different version for Python. right now, most of my apt packages work, but apt can't install anything new because all of the dependency chains are mangled. In the past, all I could do was update every day and hope the issue gets fixed. It's been like this for the past 4 days so far though

Why would you use this over Arch or Fedora? Why do you want to run the alpha dev version of Ubuntu?

Debian based distro with only theme applied and a bunch of apps pre-installed? This must be a joke.

and it is rolling, unlike most debian based distros. other than debian sid, it is the only one

VS Codium comes standard on Armbian ... it's a good editor albeit on the heavy side for ARM SBCs. (This also comes in two flavors in the wild, the native compiled version and the electron version which is a lot slower. If you've had a bad experience in the past with this IDE/Editor it was possibly the electron version)

When Ubuntu first rolled out back in 2004 I loaded it to replace windows, Glad to see good linux versions that compete. That being said I have since moved over to apple products back in 2010. I was happier with Linux than windows, windows was on a downward decline after XP and I had used windows since 2.3 and prior to that commodore vic 20, c64 and amiga 500.

And again 99% needs to be done via the terminal. Still waiting for a distro that's as least as GUI as MS already had 30 years ago

People are saying that linux Mint is a good distro to try, when switching from Linux. But they always forget to specify which Windows version they're talking about, namely Windows xp
