One of the most talented songwriters of his generation. God, what a loss.

It is but sadly Tiara NOBODY cares and nobody knows who he is. Half the damn news stories don't even mention he was a founding member of Ivy, the best US band of the past 30 years. The loss... yeah, this is sad, but the apathy and ignorance - that's worse because we'll enjoy his music the rest of our lives - everyone else will never know. Well, he's OK. I interviewed Ivy about 15 years ago and he wasn't able to be there, and Andy told me it was because he had to go visit his grandmother. Adam was a good kid, and I am certain he is back home with Jesus now, and frankly better off than he was here. Adam.... you done well my son. Enjoy your reward.

If there was ever a song that reminded me of my youth, this is it. I wasn't a popular kid, I spent a lot of nights in my room playing video games listening to the college rock station. The fiirst time I heard this song, I was IN. I can't even explain why. The hook, the songwriting..I dunno. But I was in. I was dying to tell people how great this song was 5 years later when 'Stacy's Mom' blew up. I was totally that guy saying "They have a ton of great songs."

Seriously one of the most unappreciated bands of the last 20 years. Their lyrics often evoke the Kinks (with the crazy stories) and the vocals kind of remind me of the Hollies. Regardless, Schlesinger/Collingwood write some of the best stuff out there. Absolutely phenomenal band.

Schlesinger and Collingwood met at Williams College in Massachusetts. “We played albums by bands like the Replacements and R.E.M. and had long conversations about what their daily lives must be like,” Collingwood told Rolling Stone in early 2020, after Schlesinger died due to complications related to Covid-19. They reconnected in New York in the mid-Nineties and made their debut “bouncy and sloppy and full of spirit,” as Collingwood recalled. It opened with “Radiation Vibe,” power-pop perfection for a post-Nirvana world, and one of the most charming minor hits of the alt-rock era.

I remember this song because of the riff and the chorus! Not that I love it, but hearing this after 20 years instantly takes me back to that time. Have you noticed it happens specially with lesser-known songs? Because the old "classics" are always being played in the radio and don't have that effect anymore.
