no idea why people's cheeks swell up, or why it takes so long to recover? Hello Lovely, 😘 You nose looks beautiful! My operation is next week I’m sooo nervous but excited at the same time. 🤧 I have a question for (anyone) who has experienced a rhinoplasty, I’m looking for a subtle change..so don’t want to lose the character of my nostrils. Did you find that your nostrils looked near enough the same after, or completely different? 🤍
@SmOkELMi2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ana! I underwent am open rhinoplasty In December 2021. The nostrils do look a little different today than they did before but not that much (I had "perfect" nostrils before). In the beginning, which is when they took my cast off at day 7 they looked more differently than they do now 4 weeks post-op. This is not something to worry about since the recovery period is longer than people think, I some cases up to 18-24 months. If you feel like your nostrils look different now don't sweat it, give it time and patience, that's the best recovery for a rhinoplasty. I don't regret a second that I did this surgery. I wish you all the best and I hope the rhinoplasty went well!
@494cara2 жыл бұрын
@@SmOkELMi Thank you so much, it went well thanks 🥰 I’m just waiting for the swelling to go down! Hoping my nose gets smaller & more curved in the process..trying not to sweat it & be patient. It’s only been 3 days since my cast removal. 😅

@@494cara that's so good to hear! You will experience that the swelling may vary from day to day as well but that is not something to worry about either. It will all work out in the end. If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to ask, we're in this together 🤛

@@onesahara I got a septoplasty, turbinate reduction and a minimal rhinoplasty (dorsal hump removal). My best advice is take your antibiotics and take your pain killers if you know you need them. Your nose is gonna bleed for a bit the first day so make sure you have some extra gauze handy. The worse days for me were 4 and 5 pain wise but the first few were the worst comfort wise. Your nose will be filled with dry blood so do your saline rinses started the day after. Unfortunately I am still in pain which is abnormal so your case may be different. All in all though It was much easier than I thought it would be. Good luck and don’t worry too much! This is probably the easiest surgery I’ve had and I hope it’s the same for you
