Congrats on winning TM, Richard! I was rooting for you all the way through ... mainly as I couldn't bare watching RHLSTP in 2021 with you complaining all the way through. I like to think I had something to do with your stellar rise into Taskmaster legend, after meeting Greg in Hong Kong and mentioning you to him. Weirdly enough Barry Castaglona was the support act at the Greg Davies gig and he was bloody hilarious. Merry Christmas all!

From experience. I also got IBS... am familiar with 'espresso martini' situation where you can't believe yer digestive system is capable of such explosive violence.. (>.

That is very heat warming. I’m 51 and happily married but in my head I’m still 25 when smiling at a girl of similar age I found attractive was just something I felt was natural. Well done RH, Taskmaster champion, but heartfelt admiration for Rhod Gilbert - not just because he’s awesomely funny and still probably the most attractive man in Wales - but for displaying a level of gender awareness that makes one wonder which rock Richard has been hiding under for the past 40 years. Apologies Richard, I do love your work and am sincerely grateful for these fantastic videos - and at some level I genuinely applaud your honesty and irrepressibly adolescent spirit! Late bloomers and awkward sex - I’m feeling your pain! 🤣

I’d not heard of Rhod until he did Buzzcocks. I’ve been a fan ever since. There are a lot of us Jews in America celebrating Chanukah every year around this time, Thanksgiving is indeed right at the end of November, I was taught about Kwanzaa as a kid, though I know more people who celebrate Solstice and Yule. Thanksgiving and Christmas are both national holidays, so most places are closed, and you kind of have to take part even if you don't celebrate (like getting stuck in traffic after a sporting event you didn't attend). I think the biggest difference between our countries is the Christmas menu: since we just had a turkey a month ago most people have some sort of family specialty. And then it's New Year's in less than a week. Saying "happy holidays" isn't about avoiding offense; it's about the number of holidays we pack into just over a month. Certain people get offended at hearing it, but they're a vocal minority. I've never encountered someone who was offended by hearing "merry Christmas." Congrats on the TM win! Happy holidays!

celebrating the things people do... even if the most boring shit... well... that reminded me of me saying my predicament is the worst "bullshit job", and thinking Rhod should do an episode for someone on disability benefits. we're payed on condition we stay unwell, and dont do anything to try mend ourselves that might look not-disabled. it's horrible. the work capability assaulters come around and attempt push you into destitution to test if you really were disabled. if you die, you were. if you live, you're a benefit cheat and get cut off. cant win in tory britain. monstrous dystopian hell. a human cull of the disabled poor. a very British genocide. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKe1q2t-p6qJgbs and it eventually got said on tv. harrowing, if following it, from callum's list, when you could watch the tragedies climb one by one up into the numbing numbers. ... sorry, i digress. it'll be fun to see Rhod do a work experience of disability.
