What an incredible array of talented and real people. Such a gift … I wish we had that in todays sitcoms.

I was 13 when this show began. I believe it was the best written and acted.

@@terencenevins6266 Yes, we lost multi-award winning actress, Cloris Leachman, who won 1 Oscar and 8 Emmies! May Betty White and MTM gentlemen, Ed Asner & Gavin MacLeod, stay with us in good health for more years to come. Big celebration for Betty, true Golden Girl, when she becomes centenarian next year! 💗

When I was 17, I traveled to NYC to visit 2 schools. I was there for 4 days and stayed at a friend's apt while he was away. That friend happened to live in the same building (on the upper west side) as Valerie Harper. When I arrived, she and her daughter were also waiting for the elevator. They were very nice, and although the MTM show no longer aired, I knew it was Rhoda (Valerie Harper) right away. It seems her daughter, a freshman at college, was just coming home from school for the first time (and brought her laundry home too) - something Valerie joked about. We talked for some minutes while we waited (someone was moving that day and so I remember there was a wait). Valerie worried that I was roaming the streets of NYC alone and she invited me for lunch. I declined her offer, because I'm not sure I felt completely comfortable, but in retrospect, I always wished that I had. Her daughter also seemed very kind (and smart). They got out one floor below mine and Valerie pointed down the hall (in the direction of their apt) in case I changed my mind. But I didnt see her again until the day I left. She was talking to another resident (in the lobby) about a building matter I think, so I didn't want to intrude. But I did say goodbye and she asked how my interviews went and wished me good luck. But I was also impressed that she remembered so much from our brief encounter 4 days ago and that she readily interrupted her conversation to make sure I was gonna get home ok. I didn't end up going to school in NY, but my friend in that building died the following year (1999). I returned there for the memorial service and then a family and friends get together at his apt. I found out from the lobby staff that Valerie still lived there but were away that weekend. Too bad, cause she'd been so kind to me that previous visit, and I just wanted to let her know how much it was appreciated.

Met Valerie Harper couple of times while staying w/ a friend in her same NYC bldg. First time, we were waiting for the elevator and I said hello. Next time (she remembered me), her daughter was with her and she was personable and seemed warm, down to earth and even kind of motherly. It was 1998 and I was there on an intership for college. I only stayed in her bldg for a few weeks (saw lots of celebrities - Madonna, for example), but no one else shared Valerie's warm engaging personality - a nice memory for sure.

Saudades! As vezes me pergunto o quanto eles sabiam que eram pessoas influentes na formação de jovens que hoje como eu aos 60 anos hoje aprendi. 🇧🇷😍

I loved this show and its actors. Some now gone (watching Sept 2020) All aging as I am too. I miss 'nice' series which make people laugh. We need more ordinary clean shows, less political power crap. Remember people, WE elect our government.
