Is a southern exposure in zone 5 ok ? Foundation planting?

Not really. There are several species that will survive in zone 5, but not many. Dexter rhododendrons will not.

@@HeritageMandGVideos We have huge Rhododendrons growing in 5b zone....I have one and there are about 50 more Rhododendrons in my local neighborhood in Upstate, New York. We have neighbors with Rhododendrons that are over 25 plus years old...Yes you can grow Rhododenrons in ZONE 5 if your care for them consistently in the first few years of it being planted, establishing, and maturing....

I believe I am in zone 6 in North of Boston. when I looked online for where to plant a Rhododendrum, it said in full to part sun. I was going to plant in a location that gets more than four hours of sun mainly most of the day. Is that OK? I also was told that it can’t be planted near concrete due to the soil not being acidic enough and will harm them. is that true? Thank you.
