Maybe they’ll make another miniseries “Tales of the Off-colors” or something. From what I’ve heard, probably not, but I’m love to hear and see more about gem lore. Steven doesn’t even need to appear. He’s had his complete story.

I'd love a spinoff of Lars learning more about gems, through his adventures with the off colours It could be presented in the same way that Steven's story was, all from Lars' point of view, but it could reveal more about the history of gems and things like how Rhodonite was formed, which gems make up Fluorite, and could link in things that were missed in the original series through Lars' curiosity about Steven's experiences (more on the dismonds, Nephrite's ship, etc etc)

Definitely, but I think there should at least be some time between that sort of thing. Future was about Steven experiencing proper character growth as everyone else got proper arcs in the main series, even the Off-Colours to an extent with Lars of the Stars. I'd personally love to see Connie and Greg focused arcs, as they are both such important people in Steven's lives, to the extent that they are featured in the final scene, but who's stories get sidelined a little since they're not "Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl and Steven". But other gems would also be great. Like we never got to see what non-fusion Garnets look like! And the Off-Colours, 100%.

I remember reading somewhere that Rebecca wasn’t done with the Steven Universe world but she saw the characters as real people and she wanted to give them, (especially Steven), some privacy for now. Plus she wanted to work on new projects she had too, but she definitely hasn’t lost interest in more adventures with the Steven Universe world 😊

Honestly, I would’ve tossed the Lapis episode, for the Rhodonite episode with the off colors, the Lapis episode felt like forced progress for lapis that had nothing to do with Steven. I would put Lapis with Peridot for the Camp pining hearts episode, seeing as they both liked that show. But I’m content with what we got, just wished some stories didn’t have to be scrapped due to time and creativity constraints.

It would be cool if Rebecca Sugar made a spin-off series of Steven Universe Future that focuses on Beach City, Homeworld and the off-colors after the events of SUF, Steven would not be in any of the episodes but he might be mentioned. This would allow a lot more world building and character development for characters we didn't get too much development from in Future, and it would be interesting to see what certain characters like Jasper do now that Steven has moved on.

Going into future I expected it to be more about tying up loose ends or stories, tales that were ALREADY alluded to but were never touched on. Instead they gave a NEW story that was very detached from the old one. Steven was *very* different in this season and I just couldn't connect to him regardless of how relatable he was because it just didn't connect how he got there.

To be honest, out of all the characters that I wanted to see more screentime from, I would most definitely say Centipeedle/Nephrite because the original series had a nice theme of revisiting her every now and then since the first episode. It would've been nice to see how she interacted with Steven in Future now that she's not corrupted anymore especially as she shows up in the theme song, but I can understand if they couldn't fit an episode with her into Steven's story in Future. I am sort of surprised that they would focus more on Rhodonite of all gems, but hey, they can tell whatever stories they please. :)

I honestly feel like they've could've made this episode BUT! with Garnet being too busy so Rhodonite seeks Steven for help (since he's the hero of the show). Steven explains his relationship with Connie, being Stevonnie, and how he feels about it. But that's not as complicated as Rhodonite, so they seek out other fusions and ask how they feel about it too, but every fusion has something different to say. Eventually, they both come across a fusion that says something about their life with that person and how it's different without them. Steven pulls out his phone and looks at a picture at Connie.(getting ideas ;>) Every gem's different answer make Rhodonite and Steven confused, and steven begins to question his relationship with Connie and their fusion. Both now question themselves at the end of the day about fusion and love but then, GARNET IS HERE AND NO LONGER BUSY!!! YAYY!!!!!! Garnet properly explains herself as a fusion between ruby and sapphire, and explains their love. Rhodonite is happy with her answer. Steven then misinterprets it and gets the idea of spending the rest of his life with Connie. Which then leads on to the episode "Together Forever" But he already has the idea of Connie being his future before this episode, so he ask ruby and sapphire about it instead. And ya'll know "The Answer" Yes I know it's not exactly not a problem that Steven can throw himself on, but it does eventually lead up to one within the next episode. (or at least could've......) This also could've been another attempt to properly explain fusion.

i would love just a series of short stories posted by Rebecca about the other gems. The mythos, the off color's adventures, and how Rhodonite's components fell in love. I can definitely imagine Garnet helping Rhodonite be comfortable with being apart again through couple's counseling. Because as we know Garnet went a really long time without unfusing as well, and only started unfusing regularly with the creation of little homeschool and her components teaching different classes.

I haven't watched through the entire video yet, so forgive me if this is in there, but I've just thought of a way to connect Rhodonite with Steven's arc in Future. Rhodonite, a Pearl and a Ruby. They fused out of fear of their Morganite and were shunned by Homeworld as a result. I could imagine Steven venting aloud on the beach as the Off-Colors are packing up to leave with Lars, and Rhodonite overhears his dilemma. She encourages Steven to be at least a little sympathetic towards his mother, because Rhodonite understands how gripped by fear Pink must have been when she would be taken to the tower and left there for who knows how long. She understands Pink feeling shunned for wanting to save the Earth and its inhabitants. The other Diamonds didn't care about other forms of life, but Pink did. Rhodonite relays her own story to Steven, how Pearl and Ruby found comfort in each other. She describes their relationship, and Steven closes his eyes, having just a little more understanding of his mother's actions. He thanks Rhodonite, and upon opening his eyes, instead of seeing Rhodonite, he sees Pearl and Ruby.

I totally know how that episode would've got in to Futures plot as a whole. *Episode starts, Steven is sitting on the beach processing what happens during little graduation. He looks down the beach and sees Rhodonite with a similar expression as his. He gets up and walks over to her.* Steven: Hey, Rhodonite? Rhodonite: wah! Oh Steven. Steven: Sorry didn't mean to startle you. Rhodonite: It's ok... It just... I'm still not used to Era 3... And Gems not hating me... Steven: Well, you don't have to worry about anyone hating you now. Rhodonite: Yeah, but I'm not worried about me now. I'm worried about us. *Clutchs gem* What if no one likes Ruby and Pearl. Steven: Why wouldn't anyone like them? Rhodonite: *Starts explaining her backstory*

I would love it if after all this, Rebecca made a prequel miniseries that goes into the backstory of Homeworld, the Diamonds, Homeworld gems. It shows what Homeworld was like and who lived there, and what happened over time with the war and such. Rhodenites backstory could fit here too!

Hey you are awesome, thank you for making all this amazing content. I wish I could bring you some of the happiness you have brought me. Just needed to type it out once at least, it may also have to do with your ideas on doing Rhodonite and the space gems series. But this is far from the only good idea you have had that I have agreed with I just don't type out text support often, so thank you and I hope Sugar has a like minded view set, I'll be happy if I ever get this show back but I loved it and I won't gripe if that was the total of it. It's sad that this got cut (and another reason that I want a spinoff about Lars and the Off Colors) but I disagree with the comments saying that Future was too focused on Steven. Steven trying to figure out who he is addressing his trauma was literally the central narrative of Future, and why it's considered an epilogue series rather than another season of the original Steven Universe. The whole point is that it was focused on him trying to figure out what to do with himself and the rest of his life, since the other characters were moving on (in essence, their arcs were complete.)

This is why I wanted a Lars and the off-colors spinoff. It could just be a 13 episode series around Lars and his time in space before returning home. That could allow for multiple episodes about the off-colors and their story.

I still think there could be a lot of mileage in a "Lars & the Off-Colors Adventures in Space" series. They could explore a lot of these characters and really open up the universe and show what things are like on other planets or with gems we've never met

There is another way they could have done it, but it's a reversal/similar story arch to blue bird. I feel like within the 2 years, she slightly starts to open up, maybe throw in that she has used garnet as a therapist/councilor to help get her anxiety in order. Garnet tells her that confronting the past for what it is, accepting it and looking toward the future is the key. The episode starts off with Steven finding out that morganite has been talking to rhodonite. Steven is at first fine with all of this, but he can't help but remeber bluebird azurite. He thinks what if she is harboring the same hate, thinking that since homeworld knew she banished her pearl and Ruby, that she was cast out. He starts talking to rhodonite, wondering about their story, and after he finds about how it ended, he starts expressing how he felt it was wrong and dangerous to be around rhodonite. This makes rhodonite anxious, and she runs off. Steven thinks morganite is behind it but later finds out that she is safe and sound. After morganite talks with rhodonite, admiting in full word that what she did was wrong, and understands if it's impossible to forgive her. Rhodonite thanks her for apologizing, and explains that maybe it would be best if they kept their distances, coming to accept her past for what it was, and look to future possibilities without her past defining it. Steven looses more self esteem, because he caused problems instead of fixing them, and realizes even more that he isn't trusting the gems as much, opposing garnets trust that rhodonite would be able to do what she needed to on her own.

Thinking about it, what if Steven was trying to help Rhodonite with a problem that he was facing himself, but when Rhodonite would get anxious then Steven getting anxious. He would run away from that problem. And when he comes back, he sees a ruby and pearl he hadn’t seen before. Of screen, Garnet helped Rhodonite to feel more comfortable with herself. Even infusing herself. Idk. Just thinking

I think something that was a huge disadvantage in the original show and with Steven universe future is that steven always has to be incorporated he always has to be involved and even episodes that were all about pink diamond obviously still had to revolve or include him in some way it can be really cool to see things from the main characters perspective but it can be a hindrance too which is why I think jungle moon is such a good episode

I could see it playing out like this. Garnet and rhodonite have been talking for a while about eachothers past and it's rhodonite anaversary of being fused and garnet wants to throw a party for her but asks for Stevens help and with everything going on Stevens head he remembers her talking about morganite so he goes to the diamonds for help to find her but obviously it won'uld be hard because there are probably alot of them but through records and help from other gems Steven finds her and brings her to the party and rhodonite sees her in the crowd and blushes not knowing what to do she splits and Ruby and Pearl run into hug her and later bonding and reconnecting and talking about their experiences these last few millennia (when Steven meets morganite he gets more trauma leading to his corruption as gems talk abt pink and salute him making him uncomfortable)

It's good to propose yourself with an objective or vision in mind (concentrating in Steven and His point of View), but if said point undermines your potential, it's better to start asking yourself if it's worth it

It would be awesome if they created a short spin off where it was Lars and the Off Colors where they each flash back to their origin story with all the time they spent in space. Eventually building up to the point where they all met each other on homeworld. Maybe even throw in a few random adventures of before and after they were in space with Lars. This had way too much potential and all fans would definitely want to support it. Heck it might even bring a new audience.
